SHAREware Modeling soft. +My Question..

Okay so I found a great site/directory for free-ware and share-ware, modeling soft. http://www.3dlinks.com/software_modshare.cfm

I'm thinking of just registering MS3D cause its really easy to use, but this could be helpful for you guys, because they have directories for FREE modeling software.

Aslo I need help, what file-types would I be saving models for half-life as?

I only ask because I don't want to get software that would limit me to only saving in SOME file-types.

Just get the full version of MS3d or 3DsMax (with some good plugins so u can decompile existing models) and you'll be set.

P.S. Half-Life reference models and individual anims are saved as *.smd
Compiled models are in *.mdl format.
