Right now it's just a prefab, hopefully a map later.

I was thinking of new ideas for a map awhile ago, and I got one that I thought would look nice. It's going to be styled like Ancient Greece. Here are screenshots of what I was talking about in the title.

It's a Greek amphitheater, it's going to be part of the map, along with the Parthenon, (If I can make it looks close enough to the real thing, my version of it now looks bad) and the Labyrinth!

Once I figure out WHY in the world my light doesn't work correctly when I compile, (If that problem was a small gerbil, I'd microwave it) I will be able to put all the small parts I am making together into a map.

You guys see anything I should add to the amphitheater so far?

hmm ... it looks nice, but i would add some stairs to the tribunes (is it called tribunes in english? .. the things to sit on .. nm) and maybe you should try to find some lighter/smoother textures for the theathre.

and for your lightning problem ... i compiled your other map again, and i didnt hat that problem ... you should talk on icq/aim/msn to me tomorrow so we can check your compile settings (it must be your compile setings...). my contact datas are in my profile.

I'm having the same problem with lighting. If i compile id on't see a bit of light if i try it ingame.

Thanks for the crits guys! I'm going to try to add some stairs to the tribunes (I didn't know what those things were called until just now ;) ) And maybe edit the sand texture to make it look like sandstone or something like that. I'll keep you updated! :D

P.S. - B0Bmaster, that sig is hillarious! LOL!

*EDIT* - Here are some screenies of the revised Parthenon. It still doesn't look right to me. And there's a small scaling problem. The amphitheater is twice as big as the Parthenon, and it should be the other way around :p. Should I try to fix it?

were made in rock cliffs .. if you could do that as well
Hah you can act out dbz episodes old theater style :) with masks and everything .. ah well

Ok, the map is very close to being done, I've been working on the layout a lot.
I added an underground labyrinth, I just need to add some traps to it. :devgrin:

How does it look now? Better? Worse?
And when I run the map (despite still being full of light :p ) There are quite a few surfaces missing. (You know, that little error it shows when some faces of things don't show? Mappers know what I'm talking about) Even though my max viewable distance is over 3000...
Is it too high? Is it because the map is too big? Or should I just make the max viewable distance higher? Does that affect performance?
Well, thats enough for now, the map is just about done!

Not the whole thing though, I don't like that idea.
I could make certain pillars breakable though :p ... you want me to do that?
