3Dsm help...

Can anyone tell me how to put MAPS onto your freakin object? >.<
Ive tried but I couldnt get it....
Example: I made a plane, put displaced it... added noise... and yea... thats about all...
I go to the Materials Edietor... and find a map... I chose Evrgren2.
But all the buttons are grey and I cant apply it.
Call me a noob... I dun care. Its my second day with 3dsm.
If you can help... thank you If you can then... :cry:

I wanna start 3dsm cuz I saw someone make this...

i would very strongly recommend doing the tutorials that are in the help section, they help ALOT in your basic understanding

Well, I did. I can get materials onto the thing... But for some reason it doesnt let me apply maps :S Ill look again and see if I find something... but if anyone can help... please do so

Damn.. there was a tutorial but they didnt tell me how to apply maps >.< O well. Ill find out some day :S
