i was wondering if n e one knows where i can get a tut for making lighning in photoshop?

Thats the best part of PhotoImpact, Lightning comes built in.
On topic, try going to Yahoo! or Google and search for some lightning tutorials. Thats what I always do when I am looking for a tut of some sort.

Not really fm.. its a few filters i think.

get a plain white bg and apply a black gradient on it. Then
render > difference clouds. then adjust > brightness and contrast.

If you like apply a colour hue over that. This is from memory, so it may not be correct.

yea im sure you know the rock efx ryoko, the 1st time i tryed that i got very thick bright lines, if i had messed around with the lighting i would of got the efx for lightning efx

umm i go under filters and hit lighnting and bam i got lightning

I assume you are talking about paint shop pro, not photoshop 7. Either that or you have downloaded seperate filters and plugins for photoshop.
