Well, the artwork at the BGmod was suffering extensively, so they asked me to do a few skins for them. This is w.i.p progression of images for a sniper soldier I did for them the other day:






I used a grey scale and soft light coloring technique for this character. I drew the face with a 2 pixel brush and shaded it with varying brushes, 8-10 pixels wide. After that I used the smudge tool to blend the highlights and shadows together.

please feel free to comment & critique.

can i see it on the model the skin it great but the bread looks a tad off so can i see it on the model just to see how it looks

That is amazing Vas, i would really like to have seen it rendered in brazil ro something to really make it shine. Again top marks :D

:D

the shoes or whatever those are in the bottom left corner are a little dark... the detail might not then show up in a dark war scene :idea:

Just for me ahhhhhhhh shucks, :D
He cheeks look a little swollen on sencond glance and it makes his nose look kinda sunken into his head,maybe if the shadows wernt so dark,but im just nit picking as usual :p

I'm going to wait and see what the boots look like ingame before I make them any brighter.

As for his cheeks - he's a pudgy man, let him be! ;D
