Very nice. Good use of the mirror trick (though its not an actual mirror). It seems the doors are too big. Maybe you should scale them down. Awesome otherwise.
little late to scale it down the map now dont you think...
Also i thought i would let you guys now that we have been working on ape_ocean alot lately and have decided to a totally differant way with the landscape then what is shown in the preview on the site.
So look forward to that coming out very soon.
your missing a section on the bottom half of the map... while facing the oozu sign on the bottom left roof is like halfway not there.... * you'll see what i mean when you see it...
I like that map.... Nice lil mirror affect goin on... nice touch
Thx Stryker!
That means alot coming from such a tallented mapper such as yourself. ;D
I will tell Bi0 Brolli and we will have a look at that roof thingy you are talking about. o_o
Ya Hibiki is right.
The Half-Life engine just was not designed to do reflection... ;/
Foreshadow does not really have a reflection.. its just an illusion. :] ;D
in Blue Shift, there was a real mirror reflection!
but probably they just modeled for example the scientists like they would be reflected: a normal model and a headfirst model:
@ Glenn:
this is how it goes:
youve got your finished map, then you just map the things you want to be reflected upside down right under your normal map.
at last you make the surface that should be the mirror a transparent func_wall.
thats it!
