Well, I don't really trust news sites but they summed up pretty well his first year in office. For the most part I agree with you, he did sweep alot of important concerns under the rug, but "fixing" the economy is not a four year issue. Nor do I think it's an 8 year issue. I don't think either Obama or Romney will be able to fix something that's largely due to a lack of recycling currency, though I kinda congratulate him on lowering the unemployment.
Mostly what I'm trying to say is there's a very low chance that either of them will be able to do jack shit. A -good- plan is to lower spending in key area's, cut some incredibly high paychecks in government, tax those that can actually afford to be taxed, and possibly (temporarily) close some non-critical government funded programs. Though, I disagree with the last option but I'm not an economist so I'll just leave that one up to the paper.
I'll be first to say I really don't care much about politics, but I'm not naive enough to believe that Obama, or Romney if he wins, will always hold all the cards just because they're president. Our government is checks and balances, so it's not just the president that we have to worry about. In the end, most of those *******s with a seat of power just care about their own wallets.
