Trunks sword melee idea

hmm i still dont get why u guys like it so much. im not one who dislikes ideas very often but i jus dont like this one. if this is put in the suicide rate will go up cus people arent gonna wanna use trunks witout his sword. and wit the way this idea is trunks shoulndt even have a sword if everytime u get hit u drop it.

i hate this idea wit a passion. its not even realistic. yea lets drop the sword everytime he gets hit. its dumb. for all that **** i wont even pick trunks anymore if this gets put in. itll be no different then pickin goku or vegeta. and some of u dont even use trunks often u prolly all use vegeta or goku or some of the other best characters. but then u suggest this and make it even harder for people who do use trunks like myself.

wit this hed be no different then vegeta goku or gohan, a except slower weaker wit no beams. like theres really a balance in this. :S pisses me off

1 hit then you drop the sword is bad, but if they make it 5 or 6 hits before Trunks drop the sword it's ok for me.

Trunks is one of my favorite DBZ character also, And like what I said before they must raise the Speed and Power Level of Trunks before they apply this idea, Because if they apply it without even changing his speed and pl Trunks is really a dead meat.

ok fine make it 5 or 6 hits like xboy said >_> the reason for dropping it is because what if some melee god steps in? he would own everybody much easier with the sword. if you're able to get a few hits in he would drop the sword and would tone down his power a bit if he was using trunks. you can't really think one-sided with this kind of suggestion

im not thinkin one sided but u gotta look at it from both views. wut if ur on the opposite side of the spectrum. ur only real advantage is ur sword. ur basically the slowest character on the game wen u shouldnt be. got no good beams or blasts at the start so the only thing u can rely on is ur sword. someone better then u comes in and hits u once u drop ur sword ur ****ed. a good player isnt gonna let u get back to ur sword he'll either rush u so u cant get to it or destory it with a blast.

now a really good player usin trunks isnt gonna really worry about losin his sword in one hit cus most good players do nothing but teleport constantly or generic beam spam etc etc so losin a sword to them wont make much of a difference. but most new people use people like trunks gohan and such. the sword is trunks only advantage if u lose the sword everytime u get hit then thats basically makin trunks hard to use.

he'll be like another krillin wit the fact u have to be very skilled to use him wen it shouldnt be the case. its hard enough to use trunks as it is wit his slo speed and all puttin this on him would make him even more difficult to use.

now its not that i dont agree wit the idea the thought is nice but its the fact that everyones agreein wit him losin his sword after one hit which brings up the question if he loses his sword everytime he gets hit then wuts the point of havin it if u cant use it very long witout losin it

well if u lose the sword on the ground, you dont ALWAYS have to go for it right away.. knock down whoever is chasing you then go for the sword when you're safe.. its stupid for someone to always go for the sword when its knocked out from him, that person is not playin it smart

hyuga , if some1 can control trunks well , then they can kill most players quite easily , it's not that hard to pwn a buu to obliven (ofcourse it depends on the players skill , but speed also does have a disadvantage aswell as you can catch fast charcters offguard , skill also falls into this catergory but i still manage to out smart them with trunks in what ever doing i choose) i do agree he could use a little more speed thou , but think about it , does any1 else have a sword in esf , no , and it makes sence to as why he is slow , he doesn't take long to trans anyway and his transed speed is decent , if anything his speed should increase in ussj1

well guys im not sayin that people would be ignorant enough to go right after their sword as soon as it gets knocked out but the way ur idea is if u wanted to keep ur sword then youd go for it. i mean theres alot of generic beam spammers around these days.

and the whole point of pickin trunks us to use his sword or if hes ur fav character or u want an early trans. early transing is his only real advantage. i mean even after he trabses hes pretty slo especiallly after everyone else transes. even gohan is faster then him after trans.

and piccolo is just as fast as him. wut kinda **** is that.

anyway its not that i dont agree with it cus i was thinkin bout it and it is a pretty ok idea but the only thing that gets me is droppin the sword. i dont kno why i cant explain but it does. sorry but i jus dont think thats somthin ill be able to fully change my mind on

beacuse everyone didnt use a weapon only trunks did. u cant give everyone a weapon it would be unrealistic and wut would u do make up weapons?

Well I don't wanna see myself fighting a trunks player, he drops his sword, i dont see it and i kill him. then he will rant "OMFG LET ME GET MY SWORD ****ER!". Now im not saying this is a bad idea, its very unique and adds an item-like atmosphere to esf, PMS players and trunk's lack of uniqueness dont go with this idea too well. I'd rather have it either a) the way it is or b) the sword will eventually get dull from too much usages and it breaks and onl come back with a repawn. Obviously, a sword would do more damage, liek i dunno, 20-30% more damage than regular melee hits? or c) g

Now on the other comments..Trunks is not an under powered player. He has the same speed as gohan and piccolo and he is better than gohan, when burning attack is basically masenko with fast charge and blind, and he gets a fast, quick charge, decent samage blast only at one million and lets not forget the flamethrower he is getting.

charka x couldnt have said it better myself losin the sword would make alot of people pissed but ur idea of the sword dullin till it breaks sounds perfect. i can agree wit that so id go wit choice b) for sure.

now about trunks flamethrower no one knos wuts its going to be like so u cant just say cus hes gettin a new move it will be good. and hes the same speed as gohan till they both trans. wen they trans gohan is faster and piccolo is the same speed. ive said it b4 and ill say it again the main thing wrong wit trunks is his start off speed.

he should be alot faster at the start and have a later trans maybe like at 1,500,000. cus i heard the reason hes slow is to represent the ussj and ussj 2 but since they are puttin in ussj for 1.3 there shouldnt be anymore reason to represent it so he should be faster.
