YES, they have the teleport hit from budokai 3! And the swooping as to at least be 3x faster. Ingame transformations aren't too bad do far and the motion blur adds that. Now if close range melee will be tweaked/overhauled, I'll be mostly satisfied.

Finally from what they shown of the highspeed rushes, they are character/trans based, that is a Goku special he did that in the series, as a SSJ4 gogeta i believe it was, not sure, but i have seen that before.

The beam attks better not be finished =P, or they look worse then before lol.

It looks okay, so far.

Can't really imagine anyone who'd want to play as Lord Slug, though. :p Slow-assed crackface.

I like the addition of a teleport-move, but I hope you can do more than just teleport above the enemy to slam him downward. I want to be able to teleport to the sides and below the enemy as well.

And the in-game transes look ridiculous. Purple swirling energy? Give me a break. If they're gonna add transes, they should at least make it look semi-accurate to the show, or at least add a sick looking aura.

The new Ki blasts look okay. I just hope the computer won't spam them like in Tenkaichi 1. :p

I was largely unimpressed by the videos. The first thing that I noticed was the voice of #13 sounds like #17, he's got a gruff, redneck voice in the movie and now he sounds like a pansy. The teleport-follow-up melee is pretty cool, but is marred by the (still) clumsy melee combat. It doesn't look like they've changed that. The transes were especially poor, if you're going to have trans FX then red balls gathering is not the way to go, I was really hoping for some faithful transformations after hearing about the 'Transformation D' system. Bah humbug.

So far it doesn't seem like a radical enough departure from the first installment to warrant a purchase.

Why don't we complain to the creaters? Send them emails? I'm sure it would get them to change something if they had ALOT of people start complaing about how crap the video turned out. And Lord Slug's voice was never piccolo's.

o_O, heh, its in early stages of programming, i mean, the shaddows arent even rendered, it renders bipeds instead >_< lol. I think the speed was slowed down merely because this is still in early development, if they've taken away the speed of the first one i'll be angry :(. Christ they havent even done the hud, and they havent gotten round to adding the attack names and such, just the damage counter and health bars are working.

I still dont understand why people dont like the combat from the first tenkaichi, when i watch dragonball z, the combat happens exactly like it does in tenkaichi, there's a flurry of punches that either get blocked, or some get through, and then a follow up attack is used, wether its a hard hit or ki blasts in the face. Im baffled.

Well the first videos of tenkaichi had a WIP HUD, this one doesn't even have character icons, so I think there will be some major changes.

Hmmm....5 months to perfect a DBZ game?

Oh and don't forget it will be out for the Wii, so maybe the fighting will be much more entertaining with the controller.

Well, here's the gamespot version of everything. I really enjoyed " Official Movie 1 "-- the other two were fine as well though. But gamespot members for some reason, always seem bad at the game, which could be seen last year as well in BT1. They don't seem as enthusiastic either. Anyway, im about to watch the interview now. Also there's a new preview as well.

Ugh, slow streaming videos. The combat looks exactly the same as Tenkaichi, the new characters are using regurgitated techniuqes, music is old, and the "new maps" use old textures+prefabs. Thats a major let down. AI looks completely in-responsive now, too.

I don't know how I'm going to keep up with it, there's been 2 major updates since I last came, and now StevoDBGT is down and DragonNet is archived, I don't know where I'll get my updates from :S

*edit* and SSJ goku fires blue blasts. Great. Though, the new trans effects look awesome!

I think teleporting is slightly more reformed unless it's just buggy, and it looks like budokai-like specials may come back =/. However, when your opponent transforms, it kinda looks intimidating.

Wow...Are you people blind? It looks like the exact same ****ing game, just with the teleporting system from Budokai 3. Woopdie ****ing doo. I told you, they're trying to sell the exact same crap. And you'll see, you may say this is early development, but wait until the game comes out, and it's the exact same as it is now. Another thing that goes to show you, go watch the video with Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Did you notice on his throw attack, everytime he hit Vegeta, it did the same repetitve punch noise everytime? You'd expect it to have some loud punch noises, but what can Spike do to make the game less work? Use the same repetitve stuff for everything. That's how. Goku's animations are even the same from last time. Also, if you look at the level they all play in, it's EXACTLY the same as it was in Tenkaichi, except the sky color has changed. Another perfect example of why this is going to be the exact same game. The only thing I can say good about this is, the models look a bit better, but then again, they also look the same from the last one, just freshened up. I know a kid next-door who is 8 years old, and tells me, "I thought we already have Tenakaichi now...". An 8 year old said that it's the same game. It goes to show you how blind some of you can be. Just wait...Just wait...

I still say wait for around the the time a month or two before it is released, the first videos of Tenkaichi 1 were pretty underdeveloped, so Tenkaichi 2 (I hope) is doing the same.

But what if people liked the first Tenkaichi?I don't know,i only played the Budokai games.http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/824/824079/vids_1.html there are some videos at ign, almost the same video's that are on gamespot.IMO the gameplay looks pretty good, but i can understand the people who said that it is to repetive. In the budokai's i've played, every character feels the same and it looks like it's the same in Tenkaichi (2).i think the Wii version with the special controls might atrac more people and i think i would like it better too.

The characters also feel the same in Tenkaichi. Plus, if you really think it looks fun, keep in mind you can only attack with one button...

That's what threw me off in Marvel Nemesis, which only had one attack button, so did Super Sonic Warriors, and Zone of the Enders. The trick is to create multiple variations of that button such as holding a certain button while doing it, dashing, etc. However, the fighting currently seems too restricted; basically in close up melee, I feel too tight while in Zone of the Ender's close melee I feel very lose.

and the "new maps" use old textures+prefabs
Thats not true...
Maps are definatly bigger then the last Tenkaichi and you can tell it has a different feeling into it.
The maps have a completly new system which from distance it looks blurry and reminds alot of the series backgrounds.

Well, I would agree that the gameplay hasnt changed since the first Tenkaichi...but dont forget that the game is in it's early stages.
I'm not expecting anything though...

They have improved a few things here and there, you have more control when you are flying, camera improvments, new counter teleports like in Budokai 3 (wonder to how extent though)...
Character models are pretty much the same, if you notice, they have a normal form Vegeta in his blue outfit now ;P which they missed in the first BT.

I'm sure it's just the begining though, I'm looking forward to it and I wont be dissapointed cause basicly, I dont have high hopes for anything...=P

I do know from the interviews that the story mode should be interesting...
Flying around the city...talking to people...small RPG elements =D that sounds quite fun.

Over all, I'll be getting this game without a doubt along with Super Dragonball Z ^_^

What does Super Dragon Ball Z have going for it? It looks just like B3 with less characters.
