Looks great Andy, but the only problem I can see is that if you put it on repeat, that Tien quickly snaps from frame 130 to frame 1.

You should try to make it so Tien ends up in the exact same position as he started in so it flows smoothly

Kain, it does that because the movie ends and it goes back to the first frame of the movie. I repeated this process 5 times to make sure. He did a fine job.

If you are talking about him looking straight ahead, it looks better then continuing to look around. He should loop it so he looks around, looks straight then looks around.

do you want another animators advice? Experiment. Make yourself into an example.. Dont just IMAGINE what you think it looks like.. actually do some of the animations to yourself and grab what ever information you can from it.
My parents stared at me wondering wtf I was doing when I animate..lol. But hey, it pays off.
BTW, we are totally revamping the adv melee for 1.3. Just so you know, adv melee has been disabled in 1.3 because we are revamping it :D But you can do the adv melee animations for you model if youd like. I just dont want you to waste your time and get mad at us because you did animations you didnt have to do.

One more heads up, I believe the max frame limit for HL is 128 frames. So 130 will get cut off 2 frames early :( so close.. too...

Thats good to know... Are there any more limits we should know about, like frames per second?

OK then...

I'll scale it down to 120 and then add 8 frames of him looking forward, how's that? :) Thanks for the suggestions

And yes, you're right! I was just wondering the same thing last night when I finished deep_idle... I started moving around all weird... and found out that more work could've been done... maybe I'll even make a brand new deep_idle animation who knows :)

@Rayne: I know it's probably early yet... but did u get that charger of yours?

I think Kain is right, it is a little bit... how to say... disconnected. The hands, I mean. I'll correct this problem and, if not, make a whole new deep idle.

Neways... (Gotta stop saying that lol)

>--!CL1CK M3H 2!<--

A better deep_idle

I kept it at 550 frames for the video. THE ANIM, HOWEVER, will be scaled down to 128, I just wanted you guys to see how it should look like in-game, with THIS rate. Hope u like it.

So er... got your charger, Rayne?

This question is actually for the Team members.

When Tien is done, I assume us testers will of course be testing it. Will any Tien related bugs be handled by the team?

Yeah... college... =\ Oh well as soon as I have the time, I'll do more. But like Donnierisk once said, I CANNOT DO IT ALL!

**--TEH REAZONZ:--**

1.- I'm no robot or machine, I'm a human being that's gotta study every once in a while, like everyone else.

2.- I'm no 1337 animator as most of u might have noticed.

BTW, don't get offended by the "greasy paws" thingy lol I was only joking ;)

Also, I would like to let TehMuffinMan and Rayne know that their help is ALWAYS welcome!

i hope im not the only one that has thought about this,

but make sure all of your animations are being made compatible with each others, it is entirely possible (since you are making your own animations) that you may have accidentally moved a single bone. effectively screwing up the entire skeleton. and mkaing any animations made from that broken skeleton useless.

there are other reasons you should check to make sure that they match up, but I just woke up and my head is still a bit fuzzy.

andy or rayne, send a few of you animations back and forth to each other in .smd format to check that they work with each other.
