I keep getting repeating problems when compiling. i checked for problems, the map is error free, i checked for any missing entities, i have info_evil_start, same for good, and player. i have light and everything. still, it gives problems.

Why ffs can i not join a server... Always the same message.. "This server is using an older server client.. bla bla" Why?? Are the server admins too stupid to update their servers.. or am i too stupid to recognize the solution?? Sorry for my bad english.. Thx in advance for answers

I got the new verson of halflife, installed it, downloaded ESF, and installed it. Started up ESF and it said it needed to find hl.exe so i let it and now whenever i start ESF, it just goes to the HL startup screen. Any help would be grand...
