Umm have you noticed that the team hasnt put changing any lasers (i.e rebalancing them or anything) on their agenda?? Its because anyone whose practiced enough can get around them, Nothing in esf is really cheap, its all balanced so with enough practice you can beat every strategy. Its one of the reasons the games so freakin good. Its why the terms "melee whore, laser whore etc. are totally pointless. If your finding them cheap you just need more practice. But anywas back on topic,

Im thinkin that if they attach sbc they definetly need to speed it up. Maybe make it a bit smaller too. I still think they should leave it like it is. I kinda like shooting it at an incoming kame and then shooting another at the guy while he is psing it. It kinda takes the edge offa the people who just sit and shoot kames at the centre of the map.

I think the game is balanced if not then practice and it will be better.

ok, Cheeto, then if "practice" allows you to get around any kind of attack, i'd like to see you get around being hit by eye lasers or candy attack while power struggling/block struggling.:\

and how often does that happen hmm?? If your just running around trying to get in a ps or bs then yeah maybe its a little cheap but if your playing smart and avoiding attacks instead of getting caught up in them then it wont be a problem anymore. Sure they might kill you once or twice while your busy with an attack, but if you keep getting caught its not theyre fault you havnt changed your tactics.

Actually Elemental, in 1.1 I believe you will be immune to discs and lasers while in a ps, so that solves that...on topic I think that they should leave it as it is...regaurdless of reality factor (how close it is to the show) it is unique in its ability to be detached...and if you want to ps use masenko...its not that powerful but piccolo isnt a psing character.

heres an idea, i give sonic boyster full credit for me even mentioning this, for those who want the SBC to be faster. First of all, attach it, but also make the speed of the beam directly proportionate to the charge its at. Really small charge? average speed....maybe a bit slow. Full charge? at 5 mil pl? watch that muther****er blaze across the map. any thoughts?

i actually like the idea of the sbc's speed being based on its charge. It be really sweet. Hmm, to add on to the idea, maybe at 50% and under the beam would blow up (do area damage) and 50% and above just cut right through the person?? Hard to code, but possibly a good idea.

*nods* I like it the way it is... Piccolo is my favorite char and I only use him, so I dont want them to make it attached... it would just stuff him up

hmm another idea is, why not make it the only attack that can be unattached mid beam, give it a speed + damage bonus while attached but allow the players to unattach it if they want (it would go slower and do less damage unattached). That would kinda keep everyone happy.

mm i dunno, as of right now, its piccolo's only really good move and thats cause its un attached. If they made it fast enough then i guess it would still be kinda useful, but as the game goes on piccolo gets kinda weak cause of his 1.5 multiplier so he would be gettin owned by the saiyans in a ps no matter what. I kinda think having the choice between attached and unattached in the game would make it a little more interesting, just have a bonus for keeping it attached.

I think one of problems here is that everyone who wants it to stay unattached thinks so because its piccolo's only "real" good move. If they attached it, they WILL make additional changes so that it doesnt become worthless, as many of you have said. The fact is, it IS an attached beam attack in the show, and wasnt meant to ever really be unattached when it was fired. The ability to fire an SBC in ESF, and have some1 bs/ps it, then quickly fire 1,2,3 whatever more at them that cant be defended against shouldnt be ingame because it starts to pose problems similar to that of the eye/finder laser/candy attack. Even though it isnt instant, and it cant penetrate gohan's shield. While you are psing/bsing SBC,piccolo shouldnt be able to fire more of them ANYWHERE, be it you or any other player, it just doesn't fit the game and the story, and could lead to further exploitation later on. When it gets attached, SBC is still going to be a force to reckon with, but in different, more stable, realistic ways. In addition, I do like the idea of speed based on charge idea and the blast/pierce based on charge as well, and I think in the future the ESF team may want to further explore those ideas, as it will add even more depth, diversity, and potential to the special beam cannon. -That's my midnight rant, peace =).

Thanks for repeating that snow...I didn't see it when Dawg wrote it :\ ...while I am a supporter for the unattatched SBC, Dawg makes a good argument...good enough that I am starting to think that they should attatch it...with modifications of course, speeding it up is a must and the piercing damage is cool but im not sure, good points though Dawg
