How can I use Trunks sword in basic melee?

He is. Piccolo has SBC working for him and Trunks has nothing.

Don't forget picolo's eyelaser.

I would say everybody has it's own good things, but I wont tell what trunks can do and what no because it's exploit ^^.

Piccolo has SBC, Lasereye, that a lot of balls-to target thingy, and masenko if you like PS with your own ki.

Trunks only have Finishing Buster in SSJ form that is useful.

Gohan has shield, khh in SSJ, nothing special.

Buu can regenerate his life, make almost 100k every frag if pro using on candy-ray, mouthbeam.

Goku has spirit bomb, can teleport on SSJ charging any beam, has homing torpedos and funny think - Sunlight technique :laff:

Krillin <--- I would call him n00b on first state, but when he transforms, beware of him.Has destruction disc, can make blast on everybody in server if that beam notices, has Sunlight technique and kamehame, SUPER SPEED

You would know pretty much of that if you could test them all.

Piccolos 'lot of balls-to target thingy' is called Scattershot

'Sunlight technique' is called Solar Flare or Taiyoken (Fist of the Sun)

Cell can be pretty dangerous aswell, but Buu trumps him because of the candy beam and regeneration.

Ah, but trunks does have something very unique to him ^^

Be trunks and attack a player that is blocking with basic melee more then once, quickly and you'll see what I mean. He hits much quicker compared to every other class.

You can actually do that with any character only its the easiest with Trunks. Its basically an exploit.

if you want a trunks with a sword use a custom model

Or you can modify Trunks a bit and use the sword from the model that came with 1.2 or 1.3.
