Say how does the flashlight work? Because he's holding it in his shooting hand. ;O

You can't use a flashlight and a weapon at once, you have to use either.

When I played, I found it a good idea to bind flashlight to right mouth so you can switch fast.

Corrections: according to the G4 vid, the soundtrack was handled by the drummer for NIN. I believe his name is Chris something or other. I also think he did the music for Alice.
I do believe NIN is a one man show, IE Trent Reznor does the music, except when NIN plays live.

Although this music stuff doesn't make any sense, no one has ever confirmed anyone it bothers me haha.

It better have been Tool, or atleast Trent, but I know they'll jew me, and use NIN's stage drummer. which angers me.

I think the only thing I won't like about this game is the way the gun models look. Not sure if it's just me... but they look too bulky, and... dull.

I've been playing this game for the last few hours
High quality 1024xsomething ress
and it looks awesome
but I'm disappointed in the gameplay
sure it gets scary sometime, but it's just boring
...

can you say overhyped?

Not overhyped, your opinion.

I got to play Doom 3 late last night when I stopped by a friends house, the game is very good in my opinion. Scary, great sound, good action, everything I expected the retail to have it got from around 30-40 mins I played it.

Tassadar, I kind of agree with you about the guns, but most of the enemies in the game are huge so I guess it makes sense that he'd require huge guns.

If you've downloaded the warez version then I won't tell you how, if you can get some proof you bought it, I'll help you.

The dude they got to do the music is SO MUCH MORE REASONABLE when it came to what they wanted him to do. I read an interview with him, and he said that they were looking for dynamic stuff to come in and compliment the action, but they wanted ambience to be a top priority. Then he said something most musicians never say:

"So I figured I should back off a little bit, keep it simple."

I think he did the music for Alice, too, but that was a lot more subtle. I'm just glad the guys at Id went in the direction they did with the music--that grungy, scratchy messed up rock music. There's some BGM on the g4 video off of file planet that was so cool I went out and learned to play it.

I still miss the original Doom's music, though....

Ack, I hated the original dooms music. Because of the low quality it started to hurt my head after an hours play. The PSX Dooms music was much better, it was very spooky in my opinion and it added quite a lot to the game.

Well, I've seen the trailer, and now I'm wondering if I should go get it... it seems decent enough.

But there's still the issue of nervous breakdown.

Honestly...with the amount of crappy things that are happening to me in my life right now, I'd PREFER to have a nervous breakdown over a good game then giving any of my problems the satisfaction.

There's one I took about an hour ago. My friend got it today from a Best Buy on his way back from Ohio, this game is freaky. He took it back... now I don't know what I'm gonna do ;\.
