Ok, fine, reduce the ki cost too, but the damage on the secondary is rediculous right now. If you are up against anybody who actually knows how to aim the thing you get screwed over from across the map whenever you stop moving (e.g. to charge). Do the same for Piccolo's lasers, though to a slightly lesser extent, like 20%. He could use the extra ki held over from a 20% drop in ki cost too.

Agreed about the seccondary, and I like the idea on piccolo, but I really think primary damage should be increased, in the show, freiza could kill instantly with one hit with it. Now if it were like that in the game, it would be too unbalanced, but the damage of primary should be increased since it doesnt do splash damage, and it has a slow rof.

The saiyajins arent better than all the others! lol. Freiza, Cell, and Piccolo are better than the saiyajins. (because of their attacks, of course)

Oh so that was a reference from the movies and a sarcastic remark about the game, so you think the saiyajins should be strongest?

It would make more sense to me to make the primary laser a really quickly charging beam instead of a slow rail gun. As it is, you can use jerky sniper tactics to hit someone coming after you, but if you had to charge it, even for only a single second, it would be capable of doing extra damage at the cost of that jerk+click reflex scheme it's using now. It could still be a rail, but it should be chargable for extra damage. Like I said, only for around a second, no longer, since he doesn't have to charge it any longer than that on the show. I just don't like the idea that I can hit anyone that stops to charge for more than half a second. You should have to work for that hit, especially with the upcoming client-side prediction. Any thoughts?

Yea maybe that will help too...but in my opinion...reducing the range of the laser is kinda good too...if u got melee by someone else to the ground....frieza can just laser u to death...so reducing range may help (I think)

I think it should be used only 2 times per life, and it does instant death like the freiza disk, and have a very slow rof. (and be really quick to charge.) Maby the instant death thing will be abused, so another idea is to make it have 30% more damage than it has now, instantly charge and fire (like shooting a gun) have no seccondary, and have a way much slower rate of fire.

All these ideas are good for reducing the chance of being owned like crazy by the laser...but I wonder how can these ideas come through the programer's head?? Lol....Anyways for now I just think the laser is too much...maybe AFTER reducing the laser they can add more moves to frieza...just to make him more usefull...

Instand death? That makes absolutely no sense at all. And I emphasize AT ALL. Regardless of how many times you are allowed to use it, instant death with an instant attack is absolutely unbalanced in every regard. As soon as you slow down or start charging up you're dead? No way. As to the second suggestion, the finger laser already does about 30 damage to somebody of similar power level. Raising it to 40 would be a bit much. I'd say raise it 15% to 20% maximum, and leave in secondary fire for lack of having a decent beam until you've transformed. Just make the secondary fire do about 20 to 25% less damage and you're set.

Candy attack needs Piccolo's recharge restriction, so that after you use it for like 2 seconds you have to wait 2 seconds to use it again. I think that would solve a little bit of that whole "I'm rolling along on the ground and he does 80 damage to me before I pick myself up again" thing. It would also require the more tactical application of the candy attack, as you've have to aim it instead of holding it down and teleporting around at your enemy while he's flying through the air or into a wall. New players would be less annoying with it that way as well. The other option that I can think of is to make it chargeable instead of lighting-gun style rapid dead.

If the cookie beam were chargeable, it would make Buu extremely weak.

I agree with ghost...the range is so shot already....unless u are in a ps or meleeing...in long range the candy attack doesn't harm much...instead the lasers from pic and frieza are more scary...

Buu wouldn't be weak. He has the most versitile Beam in the game, as well as the most hit points, and the second highest speed. Candy attack is just a technique that buys you free health and power level boosts.

but if u change the candy attack...buu will be very weak as he only got the mouth blast...and it will be super hard to change ppl into treats once the laser has pic's restriction...

See how many ppl are against u Mr. Vertigo???
i see four who disagree with my OPINIONS! sure feeza's finger lazer is powerful BUT i would like to stress the fact that freeza DOES NOT have an un-godly powerful beam like most characters have, granted he gets DB when he powers up BUT even then the kame and final flash are better then the DB, and freeza doesn't have many attacks to begin with. as for the power of the finger lazer its supposed to be that powerful to offset the lack of other attacks. As for starting a kiblob on someone when they are moving around, i wont happen because people will move away before you get more than one kiblast to hit them. The same can be said for the finger lazer if you get hit start moving, and if you are recharging find a place that isn't so obvious next time to recharge and if you are in a fight, so what. i can recall many fights that i had been in that were ended by someone firing a kame between me and my opponent, or by someone meleeing me in the back, or by a final flash, big bang, finnishing buster, generic beam, kiblast, kiblob... every attack is deadly in this game and they all can kill you, some just faster than the others. i dont see anything wrong with the finger lazers being as powerful as they are since freeza doesn't have many other attacks that are very powerful and easy to use.

same for piccalo's eye lazers...

jesus you people wont stop at complaining about any attack. Now you are whining about the power of the candy attack? Can you people even play this game at all? can you realize that when you are in the candy beam that it is a good idea to move? the attack has no range and if you swoop into the first time why dont you switch to a beam and blast buu with it?

hmm this all reminds me of a penny-accade comic i once saw:

I think the esf team did an excellent job of balancing the game. I agree that secondary fire for frieza's finger blasts should be less but thats about it. And even that takes up a hella lotta ki and if the person is teleporting you arnt gonna be able to hit them that often. And look who has them, piccolo and frieza, niether has a decent beam attack (aside from sbc but that might be getting attached). Both only have a 1.5 power multiplier (at least i think thats all frieza has, correct me if im wrong) and when the saiyans start throwing nukes around they dont have much defense other then their lasers.
I def think buu's candy attack is fine right now, i mean its range is incredibly short and buu doesnt really have any good attacks at the moment. His beam is ok but the kames are still better.

Its all in your tactics, if you move around constantly your not gonna get hit by the laser attacks and as long as you try to hit buu from a distance (not too too hard to do) your def not gonna get candied.
