You all whine way too much, most of the games you've mentioned is what keeps gaming industry where it's at today in the first place. Aslong as the games are good and enjoyable i see absolutely no reason why they would ever "kill" a series.

I'm going to make a blunt guess that you saw the name "capture the flag" and hinted your way to "just another CTF game". You can't make a solid experience from 5 minutes of playtime, if you have tried it at all. You can't find a better mod to-date.

Half-Life2: Capture The Flag - Doesn't get the attention it deserves.

With the gameplay of 1.1 and the transformations/sprites/models of 1.3 i could see this live on for another 2-3 years. Excluding the numb years of 1.2. Nevertheless the mod has passed it's glory days, shame it ended the way it did.
