If I remember correctly, games like Crysis have like 48,000,000+ polies shown at any given moment in a second(@ 47 frames per second average). Peak amount of polygons in a single frame in the games Lost Planet and Dead Rising are 3,000,000+ polygons. And Gran Turismo 5 cars are alone are 200,000+ polies excluding the environment. Now I know that these are far more advanced engines and systems they are being run on, but put in perspective, 70,000 polies for a map isn't that much these days. Though I don't know if Layne's maps are already optimized and are anywhere near the 70k limit, the maps look awesome. :p

Tehcnically the valve recomended HL1 limit for multiplayer maps was 600 ^^

But with todays computers 2k can be used without slowdowns ^^
By today's computers you mean what?

Todays computers = todays hardware.

Face it if you make a hammer map with 3 k polygons your FPS will suffer even if your PC is relatively new.

That's not because the computer is struggling, that's just the engine struggling; the perils of working with a very old engine.

lol the first half of the FX trailer sounded like porno music...Which is fitting since I CAME.

I really really like the teleport effect. Dalte's a mother****in' beast. And when SSj3 Goku flew in front of the beam, did he also instantly shoot a kamehameha back at it or what? Sooooo awesome D:

Animations need a bit of work especially that weird looking double kick, and why do those 3 seem to be performing exactly the same actions? I hope this isn't some cheap cloning practice. Also sure the effects are nice and all- but are you guys referencing them from the anime / manga at all? (I say this because the effects / colors are mostly all wrong)- or just overusing the tech you've recently implemented?

Also there is no giant purple planet near namek. There are three suns.

Be ready to bare with me here, because you're about to hear some shocking ass news: the latest version isn't completed yet. The sparring animations aren't properly in yet, and I'm damn sure that they will look amazing when everything is completed. At the moment it looks like Raven bound a key to a console command that either played random sparring animations, or semi-sequenced animations. Also, I can imagine that each character will have their own unique sparring animations by the time the mod is finished, so don't be so quick to judge such things like that.

Also there is no giant purple planet near namek. There are three suns.
I doubt the skybox is completed and that Adam is aiming for absolute perfection.

Uploaded to youtube for you. Quality is **** at the moment, but once its done processing it should look a lot better.

Did I just see stand up melee moves? Nice. Everyone had the same move, but still nice. Interesting how it will work in game.

BTW, the graphs look like its taken from an old PS3 game, how did plain effects caused a 13 year old engine and graphics look completely new?

No. The new map format allows us to use higher detailed maps with no FPS suffering. Its the BSP format that was at fault. Our maps are an entirely new format and the way the engine handles them is different. So higher quality is possible with no FPS drops.

Deco that was not melee.

That was a deep idle animation ^^

it is mainly being made for the Computer of ESF'S Team members but since we're such friendly fellas we try to optimize it for the older ones as well.

You seem to think what you're doing is completely faultless so I don't think it matters what I say- though when I have the time I'll be sure to pull some references up and show you.

When I work with source material, I like to be accurate to it- that is all.

Well, Dalte is right about those on the ground animations. I had never seen them before, they're nothing to do with melee, looks like DT was just playing around. Saying his effects are wrong, not explaining why exactly you think so, and then going off like he's unable to take criticism when he asks you what you didn't like, doesn't make much sense either. On the other hand I know what you mean about working to source material, I get terribly anal about it. Sometimes DT and Dalte work using their creativity, and sometimes they work accurately, I personally think they have the right balance of it now, it works, it looks good and I'm not disappointed as a fan of the series. There are a few things you have to point out to them sometimes though ;P but they do awesome work together.
