It's true, ps4 is very, very, slightly stronger but you won't be able to tell the differences in graphics or even in stability/performance. But I can tell you that Xbox will be running a lot of background processes while you play your halos and war gears and such. Still remains to be seen if that will affect the octa-core processor, but it is a fair point.

Tbh, the only series I really cared much about on Xbox was Halo and Gears of War. Gears of War lost me on number 3 and I just don't care about Halo enough to fund the growth towards always online requirements and the used game blocking.

Which is just retarded to begin with, honestly. You know how you get your new games to sell over the used? Incentive. The nintendo club rewards is a great way that Nintendo does it, and it works amazingly well. Using those rewards, you can get games on your console you can't get through the eshops. Problem solved there. But there's still a multitude of ways to get your money and Microsoft decided to go with the most douchebaggiest way. I still think they'll change it and, if they do, I may consider going to Xbone now that FFXV and KH3 are multi-platform.'

But, either way, both points are good. It's true that we should cater to ALL gamers equally, but the online functions can be groundbreaking as far as games go. Cloud computing is a great idea. It just needs to be optional on certain games. If we don't push the mold a bit, there won't be any progress and we can't simply cater to the low percentage if we want a much better system. It's the same with pc games, alot of games suffer simply because they try to make sure that the low end pc's can still play it.

Edit: Both, sure, when the consoles are below 250 dollars. Atm though, it'd be a grand to get them.

You know how you get sales where you can buy almost brand new games for 20 dollars? Eliminating used games. As for the exclusives on the X1, I actually don't doubt its going to have better exclusives. Gears and Halo are whatever. They didn't spend a billion dollars to get another sequel to those two series. They spent a billion dollars ensuring they had more exclusives, timed or permanent, for new games and new series, and that's what I'm excited about. Final Fantasy 98? Don't give two shits. Quantum Break? You have my attention, Remedy.

Exclusives will come down to personal preference. They can spend trillions of dollars on exclusive games and no one will buy them if they suck. I, personally, like final fantasy and, while the concept is pretty cool, I didn't really get much out of Quantum Break. Might just end up being kinda gimmicky. I did like "The Division" which is a ps4 exclusive. And I liked the way Destiny was looking. I've always had a thing for Co-op games, but still, most of my preferred exclusives are on Nintendo. Especially the new Sonic game, that's the first one since Adventure I've been letting myself get pumped about. I didn't even get excited about Generations, initially.

and yeah, that's one of the problems with the game market. I prefer physical copies and those sales are few and far between in gaming retailers. If they started doing that, awesome, I'm all for it.

The Division isn't a PS4 exclusive:

http://spong.com/game/11051650/Tom-Clancys-The-Division-Xbox-One

I don't know how anyone can say they don't care about Halo and like Destiny, but alright. It looks like Rage to me, and I'll end up playing it, but it isn't on my to do list.

Also, if you think spending a ridiculous amount of money on exclusives won't net the X1 quite a few winners, you're wearing blinders. AAA titles tend to do the best.

I've already said that Xbone will do very well still, despite the underwhelming current support.

It's not that I don't like Halo, I actually love Halo. But the online requirements is kind of a deal breaker for me. I'll personally never have a problem with internet connectivity, but there's no reason at all to make it mandatory. Not to mention Halo is on number 5 and is being increasingly repurposed for MP play. The Halo 4 campaign was pretty cool, but it was like 5 hours in length and there's not really any reason to go through it again past trying it on hard. Halo 5 would have to be phenominally good for me to consider buying an Xbone despite the limitations.

I also think Xbox, and even ps4, could have tried a little harder in balancing price to hardware. I believe it may have been a generation to early to gear the Xbox towards entertainment and away from sole gaming. It's a good idea and all, but the current setups we have at home aren't intrusive enough to really warrant an all-in-one system. Not to mention I'm not gonna want to leave my expensive gaming system running all day to watch tv.

As for the exclusives, meh. I'd be a little more swayed towards that point if we had gotten a more comprehensive list of them

In an sneak preview to fans gathered in Los Angeles this week for the E3 gaming conference, Microsoft officials reportedly unveiled an ultra-realistic new exclusive game for their upcoming Xbox One console that requires players to press the B button repeatedly in order to make their characters breathe.

“Through the careful and constant pressing of different buttons, players are able to control not only breathing, but a steady heart rate, digestion, and other autonomic body functions as they help their avatars maintain homeostasis and complete their missions,” Microsoft spokesman Michael Drew said of the single-player game, adding that players will use one analog stick to move the left leg forward and the other analog stick to move the right leg forward. “To pump your avatar’s heart, for example, all you have to do is rapidly press the left bumper button, making sure to increase heart rate during periods of increased exercise. And then, of course, a second controller is needed for unholstering and firing your weapon, although players will still have to make sure, using the first controller, that their character is still breathing and his heart continues beating during this period.”

Sources at E3 say early feedback for the game has been mixed due to the fact that gameplay begins in the middle of a shootout and you only get one life.

XBOne will do well because most Americans will buy it to replace their 360. That's due to the fact that most of XBox users are 'casuals'.

There's already a Unity platformer game on the interwebz like that. Involuntary Runner: http://students.depaul.edu/~espevace/InvoluntaryRunner/InvoluntaryRunnerWeb.html

I fail to see how anyone could possibly manage those commands and play it as an FPS at the same time LOL!

I have mostly met PS3 as the casuals than Xbox. Specially in Fighting Games. All people complain about with me is me being a try hard when I was just... I dunno playing like my ranking depended on it.

I think its more of a console = casual rather than xbox = casual. Theres not many casual PC gamers unless they play farmville. and even then, you don't just play farmville casually. you have you check your farm every 8 hours.

A casual game is more defined by a lack of skill needed to play. If you're playing a fighting game online, I can guarantee you that anyone you beat and is butt hurt about it is a hardcore player pretending like they just don't give enough of a **** to get really good at it.

Farmville and games like The Sims or Animal crossing are all casual games, generally used to relax rather than pump up your adrenaline.

****in' esf, dude. I used to fight people in this game and be shaky afterwards. You know, back when the good players were still around. Those were good days.

Oh man, I was just reading this article on Gamespot and they just said something that I don't think many people realize: "...the fact that when the XBO's life cycle ends, it will be a brick so all those awesome games can't be revisted."

It is. Because the Xbox One requires you to log in and authenticate every 24 hours; this being apart from the fact that you have to always be online to play any of the games. Nobody really knows what will happen if you don't do the 24 hour thing though, but I'd imagine you can't use your profile.

Article: http://uk.gamespot.com/users/kbaily...-26030151&hubRefSrc=email#lf_comment=80275568

...being penalized for buying a used game, having something watching you, and the fact we still don't know what happens if you don't log online once ever 24hrs. Or the fact that when the XBO's life cycle ends, it will be a brick so all those awesome games can't be revisted.

You're making an assumption as to what will happen 10 years from now based on information you have before the console has even been released. Obviously things will change from now to then.

No.
If you don't log in every 24 hours - your Xbox One will come to life, produce a katana blade and just hack and slash through your whole family.
