Couple of Problems...
Iiiiiiiiiiiif you reached Trans PL with Goten and tried to fuse with trunks (without powering him up)
It'd end up a real ****ty fusion...
So you'd need to bind trunks and Gotens PL's together witch makes no sense...
Anywhoo...

I like the Idea it's just got to be a little more defined.

This could actually work. I like it. Though, I think that in order to do the fusion with the Goten & Trunks Buddy System, both of them should be near, or equal in power. Like let's say the transform powerlevel is 1,500,000. Goten is at 1,750,000, and Trunks is at 1,250,000. They wouldn't be able to fuse. I say about a 3% difference in powerlevel, and within that difference, it would be counted as equal power. I have an idea for the attacks for both Goten & Trunks. I think as well. In each transformed state of Gotenks, his time should degrade, to help balance things out. His transformations shouldn't take as long as all the other characters, due to his timelimit. He should either transform instantly, or very quickly.

Generic Settings
Fusion Multiplier: 1.5x
Transform Multiplier (for Goten & Trunks): 1.25x
Time-Limit while fused: 5 minutes
Time-out time: 2.5 minutes

Goten
Starting PL: 600,000
Transform Powerlevel: 900,000
Fusion-Enabled Powerlevel: 1,500,000

Attacks
Basic Ki Attack
Generic Beam
Kamehameha

Trunks
Starting Powerlevel: 700,000
Transform Powerlevel: 1,000,000
Fusion-Enabled Powerlevel: 1,500,000

Attacks

Gotenks
SSJ Transform Powerlevel: 2,500,000
Multiplier: 1.25x

That would be way too much multiplying. Plus in 1.3 the transformations will be easier to archieve. Lower the transformations pl's and the multiplyers.

Cold_Steel: Yes. I know that the multiplers would be unbalanced in 1.3, but I wasn't really concerned about the multiplers, just how the idea would work in ESF. I was merely going by the current multipler values in 1.2, and EVM. I chose not to add SSJ2, because that would add way too many transformations for any already "transformed" character, so just skipping SSJ2 would be best. Plus, he never really "acheives" SSJ2 status anyways. He merely skips it all together and goes to SSJ3.

mac1029: A timelimit for Gotenks, would actually make it more fun and challenging, cause you have to fuse at the right time, attack at the right moment, and get away before the fusion ends. Plus transforming has to be planned too, because each transformation shortens the time left for the fusion.

a timelimit should be done for fusion. once you fuse, you have a total of 3 minutes with gotenks. if you die you split into both goten and trunks. once you respawn, you automatically go into fusion again. you then split and can't fuse when your 3 minutes are over. then you have a minute and a half cooling period where fusion isn't possible.

I think you should have transformations for Gotenks depending on Goten+Trunks' powerlevel. Gaining transformations in a short time limit might be taxing and a big challenge, though some people would want that.

Jack WinkleBean: That actually would make it twice as fun. Plus having him achieve those transformations faster than the normal characters would be better, because of his timelimit, but not make them too easy to reach.

New idea. Let's say you are Goten, and you're in your SSJ state. If you fuse to Gotenks, he will start off as SSJ, but his timelimit will automatically be shorten to accumulate to his transformed state.

I don't know. To me, that'll make him unbalanced, if he doesn't have a timelimit, and with the arrows to fuse, that'll make it worse. Because 1, no one will mess up when they try and fuse, and when they do fuse, they have no worry about timelimit, and gotenks usually gets a big jump in power anyway, not to mention his transformations. They too will give him a boost of power. I still agree with the idea of having a timelimit, easy to reach transformations, and low multiplers.

to make him balenced he could have low hp, low pl multipliers, and hard tranformations but a time limit would lead to Gotenks being less popular besides, your bound to get killed at least every three minutes

time limit.. arrows (if you get the arrows wrong you turn into fat gotenks who can only use melee, ki blasts, and generic attacks)

would make him to over powered >_< besides fusion wasn't teh entire time. after you fuse once, if u haven't reach ssj level, get your PL high with goten/trunks then do fusion to transform to ssj. if you don't get ssj3 the first fusion time, wait until you power up goten/trunks more then fuse and go ssj3.. same thing with the other characters u dont get all their transformations right away. same thing should go for gotenks.

just because fusion is good in the show doesnt mean it has to be in the game but if you want to be show accurate they can make a 30 minute timelimit.

But it also depends on how many minutes the server is set on a map. 30 minutes is ok on a server that's 24/7 MAP, but if a server is 20 minute maps, you won't lose much

that isnt to much of a problem because it wuld take you time to get to the fusion

If Goten/Trunks starting powerlevel is 700,000, and the fusion-enable powerlevel is 1,000,000, then it'll only take maybe 2-3 kills to actually achieve fusion status....

If you are an experienced player, then it'll be easy, if you're a novice player, than yah, it might take alittle time, but you'll still achieve it non-the-less.

A timilimit wouldn't kill ya, it'll still be fun to play as Gotenks. In every game that had Gotenks as a fusable character, their fusions lasted what 2-3 minutes, then if you fell you defused....

No wait a minute, there's a idea, if the timelimit is up, you won't defuse, but if you run out of energy after the timelimit has expired, then you'll defuse. How's that sound too all those poeple that hate the timelimit?

I think in the show its about an hour but then again esf doesnt have the same enegry system as dbz. (which is really really stupid)

ok here is an update

starting form: Goten and Trunks buddy system

pl multiplier:1.4

Melee: (depends on buddy system)
4 Kamekameha(faster charging slightly weaker kamehameha)/double buster
5 fuse: when pl is 1,000,000 (timelimit 5 minutes cooldown 3 minutes) to fuse you press the arrows it shows(no randoms) you must get them all right or wait 3 minutes to try again.

You can fuse at 1,000,000 pl or press z for Goten and Trunks to go super sayain and fuse at 3,000,000 pl to go straight to super saiyan Gotenks.

Transformation 1: Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks

Transformation 3: Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks

speed: 340(should be one of the fastest)

7 Victory Canon: Like a yellow mouthblast thats is really strong(cant move while charging)
