I had this prob and i have had it time and time again, im a sven co op player and i noticed the error came after instaling sven co op 3.0

Then i realised sven co op uses a newer f.m.o.d so this was causing a problem, so i uninstalled esf + sven co op, and reinstalled esf. Esf now worked, i tried it multiple times. So then i installed sven co op, all ov a suden my problem comes back

So sven co op 3.0 causes an error, its not a code error just an update on the f.m.o.d

Also if you have had esf installed then you install dragonmod Z 1.7a the same will happen because it uses an older f.m.o.d (after all it is 2 and a half years old)

So if you want esf to work i sugest not using Sven Co Op or DragonMod Z at the same time, or you can do what i have done, make the esf/dmz/sven co op installers instal to sub directorys, you will have to edit short cuts but you can get it to work for all 3. so instead of c:/sierra/half-life/esf (or whateva u use) it would be c:/sierra/half-life/esf/esf get my drift, this worked for me so i hope it helps anybody else.

All you have to do to the short cuts is right click, go properties, then set the target to whereava you have installed it
