You could probably save a lot of polies by removing some of the details and skinning them (or even bump-mapping if CoD2 supports it) on instead. Things like the ridges in the treads, the hatches on the top, the bolts on the wheels and turret etc.

It looks slick, just cut down on the details and i'm sure you'll save a ton =)

call of duty 2 supports full normalmapping. so he could even use that high res model as a normalmap for a low poly cage (if he has time and willpower to model one). =]

Sorry dude, can't rememeber what you said :(, the marine is meant to be an adaption of an existing brand. Its not really meant to be an accurate piece, just a mesh one someone can pick up and messs around with.

The final thing will hopefully look a bit more interesting than it does a present (its a bit boring hehe)

Erm works fine here ax man, the shoulder pads are detached from the body mesh and rigged as a seperate object, there still needs to be some rigging tweaks and I haven't to finish that part of the recording for the tutorial, but I can pose him just like the shots you provided :-s

I already have the Cromwell down to 10k before I added the detail in, that was meant to be added into WWIIOL with other detail skinned on. I only did the high detail for art sake really, just never have and wanted too lol.

Btw German model is droped, working on the Airborne trooper.

bout 1.5 hours modeling, no refs. just modeling as i go.

anyone got any idea's on a head/hairstyle/weapons?

rele i love the hair shape from your past renders..

my crit would to take the entire face (but keep the hair size) and narrow it down a bit.. kinda looks a bit stretched out.. heres a pic of just that resizing.. but it could be the angle of the render too
