The thing is, Goku is only "overpowered" compared to DBZ characters. If you put him in the Marvel or DC hierarchy, he is considered mid herald level which isn't really high at all.

You actually can compare them. Goku struggled with 40 tons in the otherworld, while Superman can lift 400 million tons, and has moved a planet with sheer strength. So to say Goku is stronger is just silly imo.

Goku gets bruised, battered, and cut by punches from Vegeta who is roughly around the same strength level as Goku, while Superman tanks supernova's and survives the force of a double black hole. If Vegeta's punches hurt Goku, think what would happen if he received a punch from someone who is over a million times stronger than him.

Also, no one in DBZ can go at faster than light speeds.

That page is silly and incorrect. Whoever posted that clearly has no idea what Superman is capable of.

Goku is a born fighter, and has the power, speed and strength to take down Superman.

Goku does NOT have the power speed and strength to take down Superman. He's way slower than Superman, and Gokus physical strength is a fraction of Supermans.

Goku's destructive power is insane, and rivaled by cosmic beings and God's. Goku can blow up planets with ease, and could blow up a large portion of the Galaxy at full power SSJ3. Superman has never come close to that power.

No he does not rival gods. He might rival a high herald, but would definitely lose to someone like Silver Surfer. He cannot blow up a portion of the galaxy, that's ridiculous, unless he considers blowing up a few planets as a portion of a galaxy.

Gokus techniques such as Ki blasts and Maniuplation, Instant Transmission, Combat sense, the Dragon Fist, and Telekensis trump Superman's abilites.

I already explained why Instant Transmission wouldn't work in an actual fight vs Superman. Ki blasts need to be charged to a certain degree for it to have any effect on Superman, which Superman would not allow (To be honest though, even if Superman allowed him to charge a beam for hours and fire it at him, it probably still wouldn't have any effect.) Dragon Fist? Just below, it says "Canon Manga Facts ONLY". Combat sense isn't going to help him if he's physically unable to react to it.

So? Superman literally MOVES planets with his arm strength.

That was the last time I seen all of them make anything together and call it canon. I mean reviving the dead seems to be a big thing in DC though.

I don't understand how anyone can argue these points? For one, superman is just "given" powers based on the situation. There never seems to be any form of logic or reason to most superhero comics AND DBZ. The only thing I prefer about the Dragonball mangas/anime is they at least -try- to adhere to some formm of common sense. Goku can't spin around the ******* planet and reverse time because no one should. That's just a cheap out to a story-line. That and the Dragon Balls were a very established fact of the universe. They didn't just suddenly appear to resolve a story-line.

Superman barely even had an origin story before he became really popular, and then was just given strengths throughout the rest of the story. There was never really any character development, other than romance which I find to be a cheap way of developing. While you followed Goku through the entirety of his life, including his death. Although, don't get me wrong. I do love Superman just as much as Goku.

I'm definitely not saying one or the other, because you can't compare two fictional characters that can literally call forth any kind of unnatural ability through their own story-telling quirks such as being an alien or having magic balls that grant any wish.

He uses Instant transmission as FTL which as I already mentioned is different than movement speed in combat. IT is a travelling technique. That's different from combat/movement speed, because you have to concentrate and focus while pinpointing a ki signature before teleporting there. Whereas movement speed is reactionary instant. That's why Goku uses movement speed 90% of the time.

He bases SSJ3 being a near galaxy buster, by a mistranslated (or fake) scan of Kaioshin saying Buu has wiped out galaxies in a few years. When the original scan says he only wiped out hundreds of planets in a few years.

That was actually Pre-Crisis Superman. They rebooted the entire DC universe, and gave Superman a proper storyline, etc. Although he is still quite strong, he isn't as ridiculous as he was before the crisis (back then he was sneezing out solar systems and juggling multiple planets).

Plot aside, I'm comparing these 2 characters by feats. What they've shown they're capable of doing, and what their limits have been shown to be.
