On the 9/11 comparison. I don't say this just because I'm an American, but I believe they can be compared, 9/11 was an act of shear brutality, that people, actual people could kill thousands of innocent civilians. Whereas the earthquake was an act of nature that cannot be stopped, 9/11 was commited by monsters.
