After assuring readers at length that German director Uwe Boll will not have anything to do with the project, as rumored, Kojima talked about the film. "I have received many offers to adapt Metal Gear Solid. It has taken a long time, but we have finally settled on an arrangement," said the revered designer. "False facts aside, a movie project is underway. I have finalized a Class-A contract with a party in Hollywood."
A movie of a game that's practically a movie. The only thing that can screw this up is Uwe Boll, who has nothing to do with the film. Can't wait to see who's directing it.

I nominate Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer) as Solid Snake.

He can dye his hair brown and grow a mullet. :D

I don't think he's directing it, but I think he has complete oversight and it doesn't get the final wrap until he clears it.

i can think of better actors for mantis tbh...

but i agree sutherland for snake! o/

i doubt itll happen though. they need to get some identical twins for solid and liquid, since they are both clones, and look identical (liquids hair is dyed).

Not a chance. Kurt Russell! "Snake Plissken" from Escape from L.A.--obviously based on Metal Gear (or vice versa).

He's already played Snake! He deserves the role. :p
