I dunno if any of you have heard about it yet, but Microsoft have launched a new search engine www.bing.com to try to rival google, they claim it is more accurate and allows more options than google.
I'm somewhat skeptical, I think google is still better for conventional searches, but the video and image searching on bing seems a lot more accurate, less random images and also allows you to "see similar" and also keeps a bar to the side when you click to view something. The video search is really quick and it'll stream the vid in the thumbnail if you hover it.
The big problem I found with it, is I have to change my location options if I want decent results, about 50% of all the links I search while set in "united kingdom" come up with french pages or other european languages, if I want any decent results I have to set it to United States English.
This was on the news last night, apparently Bing was the best they could come up with, since they're hoping to attain "verb" status as google has. Apparently they're starting a multi million dollar TV advertisement campaign soon too, so be prepared for none-relevant commercials all over the TV.
