say what you will, but look at my location, I'm pretty sure Id know if I was surrounded by religious crazies alot sooner than some guy hundreds/thousands of miles away.

yeah but then they overturned the legalization, took about a year for them to finally overturn it again.

it was illegal, then legal, then illegal, and finally legal again.

Though, keep in mind that same-sex marriage hasn't been legalized in California, only that Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage, was overturned.

While I am religious and conservative, I wholly support the rights of homosexuals and transgenders. There is no reason the government or anything else that come from man should judge anyone in that fashion. If it is still a sin, and I have my doubts on that, then that is between them and god. I have many gay freinds and family members, I would love for them to persue happiness without bigotry. That goes two ways, however, and I hope they don't try to force gay marriage upon churches that frown upon it. Marriage in front of a GLBT freindly church, justice of the peace or similar civil union is fine.

I also see no reason any gay can't defend his country if he or she wishes to. Being girly is not an excuse, I know many hard as nails women who are plenty girly and can fire a gun. Even unwanted advances aren't an excuse. Females are, after all, in the military, and quite capable of the same thing.
