ESF 1.3 Open Beta Final Problem

Heey guys,

I have a problem. I downloaded the Esf 1.3 Open Beta Final into my counter strike folder and when I open my counter strike and click on 'change game', it says Esf 1.3. But when I click on the ESF 1.3, the menu of it will appear and dissappear in a few seconds. I don't get it.:-/ I tried a few times more but still the same happened. Hopefully can somebody help me.

I've got Half-Life and Counter Strike. Same as Steam. I only don't know how to activate steam?
