Alright, since a week ago I keep getting these damn pop-up errors, often in the middle of a multiplayer game, which severely gets on my nerves, since it automatically switches to it whenever it pops up:

This is what it looks like. I think that a trojan is the cause, but I just can't seem to eliminate it no matter what I use. Anyone know how to get rid of this DAMN THING!?

And I've tried scanning my registry for problems several times, and errors were there, but they were fixed by CCleaner. Yet still nothing. This is seriously pissing me off. WHAT TO DO!??

Update XP.

Then download SP2.

I knew someone was going to say that. But I didn't have this error in SP1 when I used it the last million times. Any other useful answers?

The only way to get rid of it is to update XP. I know this because when I had 56k, I'd get that **** all the time. Once I was able to update XP, everything was fine. Don't install SP2 if you don't want to. Just update SP1.

Heh, turns out I didn't have to. I just disabled messenger service. Found it on some web page that explains how spammers use this to get on your nerves. Now I can use this trick to scare my stupid friends into thinking their monitors are gonna explode.....muhahahahahahahhahaa :devgrin::devgrin:

Isn't this spyware of some kind?

Use SP2.

Or just stop using computers altogether. Technology seems to dislike you.

Dude, I fixed it. Took only 5 secs of googling. Shouldn't have even made this thread. Oh well.

EDIT: It's not spyware, more like spam. Some random ******* chose an IP adress randomly, typed in the bios:

net send "ip adress" "message you want the IP user to get"

I just disabled messenger service and that was it.

I could, but I won't. xD

Just close this already.

@Zeonix: I did update it. I just didn't bother to say it here since the problem was fixed already, but I decided to update it anyway.

...Or just use Linux, it's everything you'll need, ever. Or a Mac as Barney Said, which is damn stable as well, since it's based on UNIX.

After so called Windows Vienna comes out, everyone is either macist or linux user, since Vienna doesn't support .exe / .bat or any other old file formats as now.
