Aliens vs. Predator movie & doom 3

Im quite sad that Fox used the script for the AVP movie that they did.....if it wasnt for the aliens and preds the movie would be a total bomb.

As for Doom 3....its useless to compare it to games like HL, Quake etc etc as these were all based on action and speed whereas Doom 3 is based on slow....scary atmospheric gameplay. And as for the Doom 3 engine not looking realistic...true...but theres not really a realistic looking engine to date. Theyre all sort of cartoonish. Even Farcry. Doom 3 will have the most detailed character models to date as there is only going to be maybe 2 or 3 on the screen at a time.

LoL true....what i meant was that the Aliens and Predators are going to be the only reason to see the movie. The script is just hollywood cookie cutter stuff and im sure the acting wont be that great either. Im more excited about The Chronicals of Rid**** myself.

I dont think Segourney Weaver will be in for Ripley....I havnt heard about it anyways and that would be pretty big news.

quake 3 isnt capable of realism mods... think about that counter terrorism mod for q3... look at rtcw... all flashy and ****

mohaa is a good realistic game on quake3 engine... but they almost redid that engine, so that doesnt count

I entirely disagree. A modification is what you make it and there are far more limitations to the half-life engine than the newer ones.

Well, I agree with that much. Let's face it, by the time Doom 3 and Half life 2 are released, my granny's computer will be able to play them. It's almost an ENTIRE year since their original release dates.

Does anyone really think they are going to be released any time soon?

As for the movie, I haven't bothered to keep up with it since that first backyard trailer. Have any actual trailors or movie clips that are more substantial come out?

For Predator 3 nothing is shure, even making it isnt shure (it depends on the succes of AvP)

I believe there are movie trailers for AvP, its going to be released in autumn.
