i downloaded steam and got an account i downloaded the half life 2 demo like the onlinedbzgame.info site asked now i downloaded this and it says put into C:\Program Files\Half-Life folder but the install is grayed out can someone give me specific instructions for me ? i want to try this...

everytime i join games that require to download the map or other admin stuff it wont let me.... it just exits the game and doesnt say anything... it loads to the part where it says verifying resources... then it exits.. can any1 help me? do u guys no the problem?

Well here it goes, when i tried downloading a window and it was about 20% through it comes up with a window saying i can't download esf and it will be restarted and another window comes up saying "Steam.exe (main exception):Unable to start steam engine: *SteamStartEngine(0x12e8c8) failed...

i started the download window and it says 8 hours 20 minutes to download only 184 mb?! why is this so long?
