Everytime I try and join a lan game, or atleast view the console, my computer gets a 'Program Error' from windows with OpenGL, when I try Software or DirectX I get a 'Reference Memory' error, or it just closes, any ideas on the problem? My Half-life only gives this error on Esf, but not Dod...

I can't get a console running on esf. "~" that doesn' do anythign for me but it works for other mods. Anyone know how i can get the console working in game?
