Woah really wierd problem

I will ask here cause it just happened.

Is there any reason why a dedicated server refuses to register on the steam server list?

I am on the server right now, so I know the server is running. The server is in a diffrent city, so it isn't a sv_lan problem. And it has registered on the server list until just right about now it seems. The server isn't running behind a firewall, so I know it should be seeable by others. Any help about what could be causing this would be appreciated.

All I had to do was reset the server, but this was a really wierd problem. Any ideas why?

could just be steam's *** problems causing this , i had a friend with the same problem , it's probably because of steams wide use i'm guessing

No that isnt it. As far as I can tell its the fact that someone disconnected the line and then reconnected the phone line. The server was running in the server the whole time and didnt register when the line came back online.
