Why do 90% of PS2 online games BLOW BALLS?

Why is Xbox live SUCH A BETTER DEAL?

Why can't Sony organize PS2 Live or something? Jesus H Christ. XBox live prevents -some- games from going online, mostly ports and crap,
however the Xbox live games are actually -good- whereas there are like 5 free PS2 online games (which aren't very good) and the others, the ones that cost money, suck big wind. There's maybe 2 pay per play ps2 online games that are GOOD, and hell, they cost way too much money since they both require the HDD along with the monthly crud.

Seriously though, Xbox comes late in the game right? And it brings in everything PS2 lacks: more controllers, practically infinite memory, built-in network adapter, better graphics and load times. . .

To equal that a PS2 owner would have to buy a harddrive, two mem cards, a multi-tap, the network adapter and cable....and while Xbox started out costing more, adding all that junk to your PS2 DEFINITELY costs more. It's RE-DICULOUS.

I mean Xbox live is $50 YEARLY, that's like buying an extra game per year.

Sure.

1 year of FFXI alone. . .how many more times does that cost, like 3? Screw that. For ONE GAME? That's OK?

Whereas on live you can play as many games as you want, as long as you want, and it's all 50 bucks.

The only thing PS2 has is more, better games. If they had farking Xbox system specs, they'd rule the damn market. But I think organizing an online system that isn't HIGHWAY ROBBERY would be a first step.

The next-generation systems aren't THAT far away. o_o Relax.

X-Box is indeed much better than PS2, but as you said, PS2 has more good games.

If you want good online play, you're better off with a PC then a PS2 OR an X-box.

Bah, problematically I have no money, and even if I got a job it would take forever, forever, FOREVER EVER to get a good PC. My vid card is dirt, and I can't get a better one, because my computer is designed in such a moronic way that it can't be replaced without buying some extra extra modification for it. My computer speed is average.

That's why I play a Half-life mod instead of something new and/or amazing, like Lineage II and stuff.

A next gen console I could probobly save up for with a job. But blah. Who knows if they've learned at all? Watch them come out with a one-controller PS3 with 50 million USB ports so you can waste money on future additions. . .what a clever, dastardly marketing ploy those ports are.

I gave up on consoles after Super Nintendo. They all suck balls after that, which was, imo the greatest system ever!

If you want online playability, even most 'hardcore console' players would agree your still best off with a computer, for the moment at least.

It's the games that sell a console. and ps2 just beat xbox in that. even though the xbox is superiour to ps2.

and yeah you cannot compare xbox live to ps2 online. xbox live is loads more stable than PS2 crap online really. + you can basically cheat on ps2 online, because it does not block out modchip users.

please do not start on the next-gen consoles.. that will take atleast another year. we still need to have fun with the consoles we have at the moment. instead of looking only in the future and not in the present.

Interesting thing i read about xbox live. I read that theres some new technology that could enable xbox users and computer users to play the same game together. Xbox is creepin up the pc users.

"It's the games that sell a console. and ps2 just beat xbox in that."

And i disagree with this to, but i dont feel like listing the great games of xbox.

I've never actually tried PS2 online, because i'm not prepared to fork out for all the extra equipment etc... (especially when its apparently not too good) when with the x-box its all built in, stable and theres alot of quality customer service. They keep you up-to-date, are are holding tonnes of different competitions (like the fastest lap around a certain track on project gotham 2 will win you a trip to America, since theres a massive scoreboard on virtually everygame, and your ranked etc..) and patching up the system from hackers and updating the actual service (adding new features through download, thanks to the massive memory) and patching up games, and much more stuff.

If its online console gaming your looking for, theres no doubt at all x-box is your best bet.

I haven't had a console since the flop that was the Sega Saturn. I became disenchanted with consoles after that.
