Somebody please tell me what 24-bit textures (OpenGL only), FX Quality, and 3d particle system rocks does, and if you change one of them during the game, does it automatically make the change, or do you have to restart your game? Also, I know what 24-bit textures (OpenGL only) is (like what it stands for,) but what is it for? Why not just go to the Video tab and put 32bpp? In other words, what exactly does 24-bit textures (OpenGL only) change that 32bpp doesn't?

thanx :D

Don't bump your threads in here, either they get answered or they go away. The commands are self-explanatory, just read them. 24 bit textures is not the same as 24 bit color, it means the maps are more detailed. 3d rock partical system is rocks coming up off of the ground when you transform or swoop, and I think it has to do with being pummled into walls as well. FX quality is graphical quality. For additional cvar questions you could try the help section, newbie section, or server section of the forums.

Oh ok, thanx a lot man :D!

[EDIT]

Oh yeah, if I change it while the game is open, do I have to restart my game?
