Schools don't usually get metal detectors unless there's a history of violence there or until something like this happens. I think it's safe to say that school will be taking a lot of precautions to prevent another incident, but it's going to happen again. Just at some other school, where no one thought this could possibly happen.

I'm not going to go out and buy gas masks just because someone might gas the train station. There's a small chance that it may happen. No one ever believes it can happen to them until it actually does. By then it's too late.
