Today I found out something about esf period.

I think you guys are going about this the wrong way. Yes, its true. He repeats himself over and over again. But so do you guys. Almost every post here says, "if you dont like 1.2, dont play it." I think he may have gotten the point.

I personally liked 1.1, but im willing to cope with 1.2. If you are willing to forget about some of the things that you dislike or despise about 1.2, it can be a pretty good game. Its also a lot more enjoyable than 1.1 right now, because anyone that was ever good in 1.1 moved to 1.2. Why would i not go where the challenge is? Hopefully the patch will speed things up a bit, but until then just get used to it. Theres nothing else you can do.

My point is this:
1) 1.2 isnt all that bad; either learn to enjoy it or dont. Either way none of us care.

2) 2 wrongs dont make a right (unless you look at it in a mathematical way....a negative mulitiplied by a negative is a positive...). Its highly unnecessary to flame the hell outta him for having an opinion that differs from yours. This goes for you too Shin Carl.

Now, cant we all just get along?

The issue, Zeonix, is that he's doing it all the wrong way, and even if he was stating his claims correctly he'd still just be repeating himself, so it is a two in one situation.

We're saying only what we need to say and not going the extra mile to lay out all of our explanations step by step, we've said it's just a beta, that it is always changing, that 1.2.1 will be an improvement, and it goes without saying that further tweaks to the melee system will occur in the future. Beating a dead horse by flaming the current system isn't accomplishing anything that hasn't been accomplished already. The team knows what the complaints are and they're working on it, which gives the community some authorization to tell people who are still complaining to back off and shut up.

It isn't that his arguments don't have any merrit (although most of Carl's don't seem to), it's that they're already acknowledged, and have been, and are being worked on, so unless you're going to be strictly constructive and post a suggestion in the suggestion section you're just asking for a negative reaction. Will his arguments speed up the team's work? No.

ok i didnt read EVERY post but i read over half......but i would like to remind you, your threatening the ESF team that you will will not play thier FREE half life mod game because you dont like it? OMG THEIR GONNA LOSE LIKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OVER THEIR FREE MOD!!!! for all those whining about 1.2.. let me ask you this

what is it you are trying to prove?
do you really want a game where u can beat everyone up so you can say that everyone are noobs?
in 1.1 it was easy to kick the crap out of most people except for those few who learned how to teleport well. it was very repetitive and i hardly would play 1.1 after being embarrassed about it. then after i would lose, those same people would flaunt it by saying that i sucked, like im some kind of life loser.
the problem u are all having is this, IT'S JUST A GAME!
some people will be better than others, its a fact of life. but who the hell wants to be the best at esf? there is no competition for people who learn that one style of fighting for 1.1. if u can beat everyone then where is the fun in it.
that is one of the purposes for 1.2. it gives other a chance that actually have a life and dont play hours upon hours a day.
basically what i am trying to say is, if u like 1.1 so much then play 1.1. there are plenty of servers i see everyday with just 1.1 in it. let others have fun with 1.2, and stop complainging. u said in the first post of this thread u dont like it..

in my opinion(since this is what threads are for) 1.2 is much more enjoyable for me to play. i have a lot of fun when i play. there are many who are good and i enjoy a challenge from them. i may piss and moan when i play , but overall its better than it has ever been.if that makes me a noob , then **** you its just a game. not real life

Im not trying to prove anything I am just saying I like the seperation and big gap between the noobs and the l33ts.

Wtf are you talking about there are NO 1.1 servers up all of those servers belong to 1.2. And Yes i like games where you can get to a certain skill level and point you can dominate people. Then there is other people around your skill that do the samething leading to great ass fights.

If you guys cant really say anything, that can really benefit each other.. why not just stop.. pointless fighting people across the world of whom like this game / version or not.

well carl, you created a thread about the fact that you dislike esf 1.2. what exactly do you want to change about esf? the fact that people cant exploit the very basic of the game? is that the thing that disturbs you?
just say what bothers you, dont make useless thread that people only get annoyed about. And if you like the super exploited, super bugged, place keeper, oddly unbalanced, esf 1.1, go get it and put up a server. if people dont join, get bots.
