The camera+flying anim

Well what the esf team should really try is a better close-up camera...Nearer to the character.That would make the game harder to get bored with.Also it would make esf look like a real game not just an action mod

The second thing I'd recommand is the flying animation.The esf's original anim is dolly-like and doesn't seem like the character is flying.I'm talking about the floating or mainly called 'idle' anim.I think a nice position should be with a leg higher than the other and one bent knee

You can always zoom your character (I think it's "I" or "K" button by default).

About animations I only dislike the "idle" and swooping animations of some characters (not DBZ-like).

Yeah some anims are just too lame.The problem is that the smallest the anims seem the ugliest they become....Well I agree on the idle anim especially the flying idle anim.It doesnt need a lot of work just to get one leg higher and bend a knee

About the cam I mean action cam.A bit hard to analyse my thoughts lol but everyone would like to see some changes...If we dont try there wont be no evolution lol:laff:

If with action cam you mean stuff like zoom in + pan to the side for closeups of melee hits.

That wont really work in ESF since its based on a FPS game rather than a 2D fighter.

hmm....
the idea of a fighter sux
but there are some stuff that you can do
i mean from the 2d fighting
you can do such stuff like 2d fighting just to make things different
i mean at 2D fighting you can do combos at esf you can't
i mean combos not like the s,sd,d stuff combos like combos wich means combos wich you think of and try to make if you don't get it i will try to find a video
wich i will figgure out in the next post

Mabye could be something...Combo melee.Sounds cool to me.As for the cam not like 2d fighting but hmmm like Spiderman Web of shadows if you have played.Of course I'm not saying to copy it.Even if anyone would want to its impossible on an engine 10+ older.Still some action would be cool.WHAT ABOUT motion blur+slow motion..That would be the hit of the year.Combo melee slow motion motion blur
Well needs a lot of work tho

Slow motion doesnt really work well in ESF due to 2 reasons.

We are trying to keep it as fast as possible since 1.2 is preety boring cause the gameplay is so slow.

The second reason for slowmotion problem is the multiplayer aspect. Youd have to slow down everyone in the server at the same time. If not youd have people killing one another just by waiting far away for a slow motion and then beam away.


And dont bring up the specialists. That mod has enough obsticles and closed off areas in the maps to be able to get away with partial slow motion in a limited area. But ESF is totally open terrain. The more open the better. So you can practically hit anyone from across teh whole map.

Dont worry I only meant slow motion on single player because on multiplayer its nearly impossible due to the huge overload it would cause..Well I think motion blur would be enough plus those anims i mentioned above.I think there is some motion blur in Naiteki Kensei but aint sure

Well the term single player doesnt mean to actually follow missions or story lines...Even a new half-life server with only you in it is considered single player:yes:

Depends by the way you open the server..Internet or Lan..When it's Lan i consider it single player or freeroam

Its still multiplayer. You still create a server and people can still join it. The only thing that would stop people from joining it is to set the server to LAN (that would only allow people to join it that are on the same LAN network as you) or if your firewall blocks all incomming connections into the game.

But all in all its still only multiplayer. HL uses a totally different code for single player as for multiplayer and we only use the multiplayer part of that code.

Yea please dont doublepost. Use the edit button instead ^^

And doesnt really matter hat you considder a LAN server to be. The game considders it a multiplayer server. Same as the one thats not LAN. Same protocols runing and everything else is allso the same.

Well check the posts..I know its not single player but as I said if played on Lan it wont inflict other players...Sure if you dont have other players on your lan server...Sorry should have been more correct the first time:fight:
