TES IV: Oblivion *spoilers possible*

If you want to be a vampire without getting hurt by the sun, you need to feed of atleast one person every 24 hours. That shouldn't be to hard, but the problem is, if you want to get cured you need to get alot of items and do some weird quests.

Anyway, I have to do this weird quest to get into the prison you started in for the Dark Brotherhood, and you only get the bonus if you can get to the prisoner you need to kill without killing any guards...does anyone know how I get past all these guards, because there is always this 1 guard that spots me and then suddenly 5 other guards pop out of the hallways attacking me, thus not allowing me to get that bonus...

i already bought my house (10k -_-) i did it through a lot of theiving. I was kind of dissapointed by the fact that i couldnt take peoples houses by killing them and just using their empty house as a storage place(like i did in morrowind)..because after a while..the food in the house and items in the chest's seem to respawn?...idk if anyone else has noticed this aswell..but it happened to me..and all the stuff i stored in the chests (enchanted armor,food,enchanted clothes,sigil stones,weapons.) all gone...and replaced with the original crap that was in there..which was like..1 yarn and an apple..-_-..so i finally decided to just buy my own house and store my stuff there..hopefully everything will stay since its my house...has anyone gotten past lvl 2?...i still havent upgraded all my major skills enough to make it to lvl 2...=\....and is it me..or do some weapons/armor display protecting less than they actually do..because the blades armor set..says it only protects like..1 per peice..but i find that whenever im fighting..it protects me a hell of a lot more than 1..lol...so idk..maybe im just fighting weak monsters/enemies...i also managed to steal 2 dark soul gems from the "Francier" guy in the mages guild (the one who gives you your recommendations or w/e) and was confused as to what they did..so thnx for clearing that up...btw..how do i join the dark brotherhood?

The guards have a very low sneak score, so it should be relatively easy to sneak by them. I did it (the dark brotherhood line is a blast!) but I also had a high sneak because that was the role I was playing. Is your birthsign shadow? If so, then just se the one day power (alot of people forget they have it lol) But if not, is the guard you are talking about the one near the stairs? If so, just stick to the right as you approach, since he tends to stand on the left, and move as far as you can past him. You should get to where you are to his left, but slightly behind, then you can just jump onto the stairs from the side-ish.

PS you will get great satisfaction killing that bastard dark elf! I know I did!

Yeah, and the wilderness dungeons repopulate after a few days as well. Houses can be expensive, and the chorrol one is the hardest to get I think. Armor protection value changes depending on how much skill you have, if you specialize in light armor, you will see that your light armor has more armor than the equivilant heavy armor. Same with weapons, you may find an awesome sword, and if you have no blade skill, it will do the same low damage of a iron sword (well, maybe slightly more, but not by much).

Horses. I've played some games before, and the horses were terrible. If you get off, does the horse walk around? And are the animations good?

Hmmm. I find myself actually wanting to try to make a Paladin(ZOMG! DIVINE HEARTH!...) But in like... D&D style. Actually effective in combat. Basically a warrior type with some Alteration and heavy in Restoration.

Horses will walk off if it's not your horse. So for example, if you stole the horse, it walks away. If you bought the horse, it stays where you left 'em.

omg i know dude, where the hell do we find those... my mage is like level 3.

edit. go to the imperial city market district, or wait until jauffre invites you to be a blade and let you use the armory... but for some reason my orc wasnt invited. or go to the arena in the imperial city, you can get some descent light/heayv armor and some descent weapons.

I'm level 11. What are your main skills, and why are you not using them? Did you put any thought into what type of character you wanted? It's helpful if you do so you don't end up as a warrior casting lightning, wondering why you have so little mana. (I wonder this anyway)

You can look for an invisibility scroll, or a strong chameleon, but good luck. I got very stuck here. In the end, I got passed him by summoning my Ancestor Spirit (Dark Elf ftw), which distracted him and made him turn his back. The guard didn't see me, and that's what counts. Your mark is the guy who threatened you at the very start of the game. Who's dead now, bastard!

Talk to the guards and locals, they usually know where stuff is. I haven't bought any stuff yet though. My armor came from the Dark Brotherhood, my sword is from the Blades, and my shield if from a guard that was killed in Kvatch. People give you lots of jewelery for completing quests.

I had a horse. But I think I killed it by parking it next to an Oblivion Gate, which I then proceeded to destroy, killing my horse (aparently they blow up as you leave them).

Are there any other alchemists around? I find it is a very useful ability. Not only can you make potions to keep you alive during the fight and keep your magicka up but you can also make any kind of potion from excess ingredients to sell to merchants. Its my main source of money. Without it, I wouldn't be able to afford my spells and enchantment recharges (my staff costs 1600 gold to have recharged).

rofl.... i just ran through the entire jail, opened the door killed the prisoner, and ran back

said you couldnt kill them, didnt say anything about being detected

also, for the missions where it says dont be detected, you can kill them, as long as your stealthy

This game owns me. Honestly, I have never experienced such a fun experience. Most games are either to cure boredom / stress. This game is for fun.

Level 3 Imperial Knight here. I wish that the two-handed swords (that go on your back), also have a scabbard.

Plus! Due to my poor system specs, I have to run this on minmum settings at 640x480. AND IT STILL LOOKS WONDERFUL!

No, a monster probably killed it. Time passes both where you are and where you aren't. I had a horse at a dungeon, which I thought to be pretty safe, but I rested inside and when I came back out, a monster apparently wondered by, slaughtered my horse, and then ran away.

It plays the death animation when you first see it, so it looks like it just happened.

The other thing that led me to believe this was that, as a continuation of a previous quest, an Imperial City guard broke out of jail to come kill me. Of course, I only heard about this upon this guy's death when I took the stone and recieved a Quest Completed notice telling me I had killed him. When I emerged from Oblivion, having just taken the stone controlling the gateway, his body was the first thing I saw. I think he was flying through the air, but I can't quite remember. Maybe he followed me into Oblivion but hadn't yet caught up and was flung dead from the gateway when I closed it. An odd occurance, to say the least. I haven't seen my horse since the incident, although I haven't had much time to play it recently.

I still haven't tried that grass tweak yet. Has anybody tried it yet?

I have a system, 2ghz 1gb at ram, Ati Radeon 9500 pro 128 mb.

Games like, doom 3, go dodgy at times, games like, fable, go dodgy at times, heck, even the game morrowind goes dodgy at some area's. (bloodmoon expansion that is).

And this game, smooth? I just can't believe it, I was afraid that I had to buy a whole new system, but I can play this game on 1024*792 smoothly. D:

Only a few area's, inside, go a bit dodgy, but not much.

I'm simply amazed.

Btw, I want daedric armor, anyone found something?

i got some orcish armor, it looks pretty cool, anyone have any ideas as to what the hell glass armor looks like?

i've seen dwarven and orcish, maybe deadra if thats what you summon, dunno about ebony, and nothing unique in the light armor department

i parked my horse outside an oblivion gate and while i was killing the monster outside the gate it dissapeared, i figured it would just come back next time i didni quick travel and went along my merry way into the gate. No sooner do i walk out the other side do i see two huge hulking firebreathing lizards standing over my horse next to a lake of lava. So either they dragged it in or it walked in by itself and got killed .
