Steam account problem

Erm, k well i bought myself a new hl cd key to register on steam, and i made a new Steam account name as "Styxy" and now the steam dir is c/program/steam/steamapps/styxy and whenever i try to add 1.1 there it just wont show up.. in third party games. so it seems it may only show up under a sertain "myemail" folder... so erm anyone knows how to fix this or?...

Your account "name" is your email adress, and your Steam folder is also a email adress ( /program/Steam/Steamapps/[email protected]/ )

Thats what me and Styx (a.k.a ussj5 Goku) have been doing, but it never seems to show up in the third party menu. We've tried several times.

Make sure you have the correct dlls, try running HL at least once and restart steam. Also could try moving the folder somewhere then back.

You have to try running Half-Life at least <i>once</i> because it will have to update itself. Once you've done that, steam will autmoatically create your e-mail addrerss folder.
