Shady, I gave a comment on your goku at GA, though now i noticed his feet look funny from the 3/4 side view as Im still in the opinion you overdid it with the Folds in his pants.

Pixel is fully right about the folds... Try to get rid of some...
And I've noticed that some parts arent connected properlly ( but it is easy to fix so nevermind :laff: )
BTW The face is amazing... He looks really pissed off... Meh likes that :yes: :p :]

Actually i think the head is accurate to the reference, mostly modeled after the side ref. I need to fix the headband though.
Here's what i mean:

You need to find some profile/three quarters shots of him o base your model on as well. He matches up with the refs from the front and the side, but you have almost no structure when you look at it in 3d space.

front and sides are great and all that but remember, you're not modeling in 2D, This is a 3d model, mind the perspective (Find some perspective shots of naruto as well)

whether he is accurate to the references in front/side orthos, is irrelivent, because you can clearly see from all the perspective shots, that he isn't accurate.

you should be using the front/side orthos to block out shapes, and fill out the major forms of the silouhette (outline), and use the perspective viewport to tweak all the internal details to get it looking "right".


anyway, been messing round with normalmaps and shizzle... obviously very early wip.

It's kinda hard, but you can tell from the last pic that i did.

The pants rip on the left leg is wrong...
If you cut the pants like that the lower part should fall down or hang from the place the pants meet the boots

if you were going for a cartoon look (im sure you were lol) then very nice :D looks like the skin for shoulder pads button is messed up but its still good otherwise
