@axman, the forehead/eyebrow area is way to defined for it to be a woman. (normal) Women have smooth skins, round cheeks and little definition of the facial muscles. Also the mid area of the face (ears, cheeks, nose) is the most pink part of the face and the forehead is the most orange-yellow part. I can notice the cheeks have some pink, but you skinned it in such a way that it appears like make-up instead of actual skin. Try to use red for the cheeks instead of pink so it doesn't appear like make-up and better use of colors would do. Also Some shading "under" the lips and highlights "on" the lips would be nice too!

It's a really good start, but it's all a little monochromatic. Try adding in some whites and blacks here and there, some extreme highlights and shadows, to give it depth. Do you have a tablet? If you do, I suggest having two layers (shadow and highlight) and for highlights, just slightly tapping the tip. It makes a cool little fading dot. Then press hard and highlight around it. If you're using a mouse, then just make a large transparent brush stroke and then a small brush dot on the extreme highlight or something. Kinda hard painting with the prespective, but try to do something like this:



That is, if you think it's an improvement. If you want to just leave the highlights and shadows and such to realtime specularity and lighting, screw me =P

A little bit too much red. You've got it in most of the right places, but I've found that tones like red have to be very subtle to work well; if its just barely visible on the texture, then it will probably look fine on the model.
You could also try using one of the "sponge" brushes in photoshop (at least that's what I call them), at a low opacity to pat in the red where you need it, and give it some randomness.

havent posted in awhile school and such, Darksniper and I haveing a go at Haruno Sakura age 15/16.
some c&c would be great on the texture only though unless its minor changes on the model. Thanx guys :yes:

I think the colors could be a bit brighter. They're okay now, but it looks kinda faded. Not putting using any pure black or white, as well as lightly adding some dodge to the highlights and burn to the shadows would go a long way towards pushing the contrast to give the texture a more 3d feel to it.

Anyway, that's really impressive, nice work to you both!

The hair seems to be colored differently compared to the rest of the body. If you only look at the head, it looks somewhat like it's cel-shaded.
However, the model and texture looks nice. This is a model I wouldn't mind to see finished >_>

About the Sakura model/skin.
Can you please show front and side, no shadows at all and no pose of course =]

it looks quite nice, theres something about her face though, her jaw...

Gohan- well dunno if this update was wat you suggested

g0jack- well yea ive got my own style where i try make it close to anime and put in subtle shadeing and try get a hardness effect to it (inspired by uzumaki ninden ps2 game)

tryforce - well thanx i guess couldent realy make out half of it but thanx anyway

Mad Axe- Why is it good that i used crappy lighting? (skylight if your wondering)

ShadyD- i need to alpha map and texture the zipper will get to it soon, and no im not kurai.

Heres a little few tweaks i did will do more detail on torso tommorw and then move onto the lower.sorry for no big update but im going zzz now


EDIT : erk sorry sv only caught your post now i'll do your requests in my next post , and errr sorry guys my eyes lied to me i need to blend the head with the arms or the arms with the head will get to it first thing in the morning.

Yay good to see my model is being progressed on after picking up so much dust the past month or two :D. Looking nice so far Shiro, i think that you already know what already needs to be done. BTW i also made the rig if anyone was wondering... :yes:
