Just a small suggestion to decrease hiding beam spammers and make running/walking a little more useful.
Increase the range the scouter has, to pick up the whole/nearly whole map.
When you are using ki you are picked up on the scouter. When not using ki you are not picked up by the scouter.


Actions detected by the scouter :
Swooping/Teleport/Flying/Turbo/Beams/etc

Actions not detected by the scouter :
Melee/Block/Jump

As long as people who are close enough (say the range we currently have now) are detected even if they're not using ki, I love this idea. Adding a button to zoom in / out would work nice with this too, for the people who don't want to see the entire map on their radar.

That's a good idea. /me likes :yes:

As a little addon to this idea whynot add flashes or colours to represent in the scouter what your enemy is doing

example : if he was charging a beam it would flash alot or something like that.

I've been wanting something like this for a long, long time, but never thought of suggesting it. The radar range as it is now is quite short.

I like the idea. Maybe the scouter, in addition to the other modes, could get:

1st(mode)-short range
2nd(mode)-long range
3rd(mode)-Dragon Balls

Or something...

I say the scouter should have a maximum range. People who get out of that range are indicated with an arrow at the bottom,left,right,upper part of the scouter, pointing in their direction.

Hell, thinking about it, this could be a new radar mode. Replace it with the player mode we have now, that ones useless.

Shuyin that is 1 heck of an idea 8/10

Although it could get confusing with lots of players swooping round.
I like the idea with the arrows better maby make them blimp if the person is charging a big beam :p

o_O a few variations here.

Done a little visual for how i think CS's arrows idea might look.
I think it would have to have a few arrows so it can track a few players at a time. There's enough scouter space to track 8+ players. Which is plenty.

Since this mode would only act as a tracker for people out of range, it would not replace the current radar either. Also im thinking it might be good to intergrate it with the player mode and just have :
Radar Mode - (close range and dragonballs)
Search Mode - (long range and powerlevels)

Good ideam, however -- MAKE THE DISTANCE TOGGLEABLE! So you can toggle from SHORT, MEDIUM, and LONG distances.

heres an idea! like instead all your ideas together, but then you should be able to click their little point on the radar (remove the player mode like you said) and then it will show their pl and stats and stuff, what form, charging ki, speed (turbo, swoop, fly ,walk) and everything!
