Ok there is something that has always been bugging me from time to time. How is melee hit determined when two people are dashing at each other using simple melee? What factor determines the winner and the loser. I know power hit is when both opponents hit each other but there are times when im dashing toward an opponent and he would hit me first. Does the person who use the attack after the opponent or before the opponent get it off first?

If you are both dashing at each other, youll bounce off each other, Neo vs Smith style. If you are just starting to dash, the other guy will win. If you are almost dead, the hit kills you without knocking the other guy back. If the other guy gets to the outside and hits you from outside your "hitbox", its like you miss and are therefore knocked back by him.

Just hold down the right mouse button and be careful about waiting too long to swoop at him. And watch in case he tries to swoop out as he comes at you, in a ( shape, to hit from the side.

That could happen because the other player does a quick turn the second before you hit him. It's pretty cheap stuff to be honest.

simple melee vs simple melee = knockback for both
simple melee vs adv melee(prepunch) = simple melee hit then prepunch

You want to learn "angles" it determines who wins melee fights, basicly someone who angles will always hit first when 2 players attack at the same time. But to learn angles takes a while its not easy as well. I can make angles so sharp that when I hit someone right on the head(top side) then somehow swoop stops and you get into a fall animation. : /

I can angle so well (i'm so leet :p). It takes a while ot get use to aswell. Rasie your mouse speed in small increasements untill you find somethnig that you can control and that is fast, & with a bit of practice you should be able to angle well.

Besides sidehits, if you're chasing a guy and he swoops backwards, drops, swoops backwards, and swoops forwards, it will count as a head on. Even though you've been swooping longer than him, it counts as a head on o.0.

Always be carefull when you chase someone who is a "runner", someone who swoops backwards or/and falls all the time then attack. Basicly what hes trying to do is to lure you to chase him. What you doing is you following him in a straight line so its easy for the runner to angle you. "Noobs" get owned by this cheesy tactic time after time.

What you wanne do is double or triple tele attacks which is ki consuming and dangerous but its best way to deal with runners.
Never chase them with swoop cause the runner has the advantage ALWAYS.

i can angle pretty well also, but there are guys that are much better then me. Due the reason i get 20fps mostly, its hard to play on my computer. Also, script users don't count :p.

This is the proper forum for your inquery, and this is where you should start on our forums so that you get a better grasp of the rules around here. You'll get helped out much more quickly if you follow them, and two of the rules are avoiding hijacking another person's thread (If you have a question, make your own thread when appropriate), and not posting more than once at a time. Use the edit button to modify an old post if yours is the most recent in the thread.

In answer to your question, rename it to whatever model you wish to replace in your folder. If you want it to replace goku, rename it to goku and put it in the folder where your old Goku used to be.

or...you could always head on them...by catching their angle...if u do that..they fly to the ground while u fly upwards..and that way..they take ground dmg+harder to get up

Yeah that might works against noobs not against players like Kai, Sephize, Raikhan. You can never make a headon or block fast enough epecially if its a sidehit. A runner always has the advantage to angle a attacking player.

Thats why players which use this "run" tactic constantly are considered lame.
If you not experienced with tele attacks a "pro" runner is untouchable, cause there is no way in high heaven you can swoop faster then a falling player unless you talking about a transed krillin vs gohan. But normally impossible.
