When I try to install beta 1.2 I get through the set up process, but when it comes to actually installing the files I get the message:

The file 'C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe\esf\autoexec.cfg' could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. The system cannot find the path specified.

I have tryed downloading it from most all of the mirrors with the same result. If anyone has some insight into this problem, it would really help alot. Thank you.

Well, is your disk full and/or you don't have access to the destination directory?

No, I have tons of hard drive space, I'm logged in under an administrative account and I am trying to install it to the hard drive not a a cd-rom drive. Thanks for the help anyways. I really want to try beta 1.2 and I'm not having any luck so if anyone else may have any ideas please help me out.

if that file is not there, create it (just open a txt file and rename it)
If it is there, make sure it is not set to read only.
