Not every day, but most days. As an auxiliary security force, its expected that they'd be called upon whenever the Iraq security forces that we're training are incapable of handling the situation by themselves. The number of people who would respond to a threat aren't nearly as numerous as one would expect, which means out of the 50,000 troops in Iraq, the vast majority of them won't even be handling their firearm on a monthly basis, if that often.
