Well I won't comment on what Shadi/Sub and the rest said cause I kinda agree with them.

So the explosions surpassed my expectations, they are how I wanted them to be but I expected them to be kinda small.

Remember that the map they played on is extremely small compared to how an ESF 1.3 will look like so the explosions won't be that constant or intense.
Shadi you said angle hits will be impossible. Thats not true. They are possible, just about 20 times harder than in 1.2.
No I meant at a swoop start when you do those weird turns to start your swoop.. the animation will mentally prevent you from QUICKLY doing an angle after standing still and do a sudden quick move.. that kind of angle won't be possible anymore.. if so it has to be done extremely wide though

I love it! The only things that I don't like are some bugs and some camera-issues BUT the game is still in development so I won't judge the game now. I believe in the ESF-Team and I think that they will blow our minds with the finished ESF:Final! ;)

Ok I have a major complaint about these videos. I spilled my water all over my pillow when I saw the videos. How dare you be so awesome, I said.

But seriously everything was masterfully done in that video. The explosions where beautiful to watch and they sounded fantastic. I won't complain about anything though, because unlike other people I know that was merely a test and it may or may not represent the final version of the game anyway(and seriously if there are problems I think the dev's can see and feel it for themselves jeez).

Oh and about the people complaining because of too much dust... yeah if I had 10$ for how many times a scene was used in Dragonball, Dragonball Z(kai too), and any other dragonball series that will not be named because they are completely terrible, where someone is being shot by a big beam or a bunch of beams and then get's completely surrounded by dust so that you can't see him, I'd be a richer guy right now. So yeah you really can't dismiss it. It's probably the most memorable thing in the series. So like the devs of Battlefield 3 said: This is how it is in war. Big things hit the really dirty ground and dust is being formed. Deal with it.

Yeha don't judge us too harshly on that, there's bugs in the vid plus map was insanely small (it's a test map, not a real map, we just like using it since it's new). When I'm done, beam spam won't be a major issue. I plan on making all balls dumbfire aside from initial lockon so you can hit something at range, and we'll rework damage values to be legit. Melee works well. You can get multiple simple melee combo hits like you can in 1.2.3...most of us just suck at it :p Get Raven in there, he'll mess you up good. And yeah the game is MUCH faster than 1.2.3 but thats what everyone screamed for so we did it. And for those worried about the cameras, they're a bit broken and disorienting atm, need to be reworked.

Errm I don't know why are you say that to me.

I just talked about the explosions that they are as big as I wanted them to be(I was expecting the team to make them smaller for their own reasons).

Its not like in 1.2.3 where you charge an 100% spirit bomb and you get a small explosion.

Then a little bit of info for you. Explosion size does not change with the charge of the beam. Only damage, speed, turn rate and the beams struggle capability change.

And yea. That island is roughly the same size as 2 to 3 Cell Rings ^^;

To bad the clashes has not been put in the video.

I have been playing this Mod for a number of days... Honestly closer to weeks at this point...

Here's my 2 cents:

As Shadi said, the graphics are looking splendid. But I might have been the only one that was thinking there was quite a bit of clutter all over the place. The size of the explosions were massive... Gave me the ECX/EEA feeling; As beams are a Huge part of DBZ and just a frowned upon aspect of ESF in the current version, I can't knock it til I try it. It's been pointed out to me that you guy are playing with limitless ki, so I'm wondering if the amount of beams being used would be on that scale anyways.

Gameplay seems fast again, (once again limitless ki means you can swoop/teleport forever). There seem to be a lot of Vegeta's... But I mean that could be based on you don't want to show us the other characters in actual play? or they aren't ready

I've seen a lot of change with this mod, and I don't think whats being shown is detrimental. TBH, it seems like ESF got to be revamped by a majority of people who didn't like the repetitiveness of the simple melee aspect, and wanted to expand the game with Nukes and rock paper scissor melee so as to not have one form of domination... I think it's fine, it just looks hard to track players and cluttered... ramble ramble ramble

Well the game balancing is not done at all yet, so thats why you have beams flying every 5 seconds and nearly limitless KI/stamina.

And the island in the video is the size o 2 to 3 cell games rings (though i thought i said that somewhere before :s)

So yea the island is tiny, thats probably why the explosions seem so gigantic.

But yea, why would we speciffically film 1.1s The game is not really made for them in the first place. We even added the ability to help team mates inside a melee clash by meleeing the other guy as they are hitting your team mate, or as you saw in the video just target 2 people in a melee clash and go in hitting who ever is unlucky enough to get the end of your fist against his face ^^

The game wont change a lot. If children complain now, They complain even with the full game. A demo is required to see the reaction. If it is negative it is useless to continue for another years ESF.

duel. I've always enjoyed the team matches. Nothing quite like an accidental 4 person Power Struggle :D

People change theyre minds very quickly to be honnest.
I have prove of that but cant show you since the prove is in the force pit section of this forum.
Have to say thanks to Dalte.

And thats why I think 1 phase release would be better so people wont be dissapointed again.
With maybe 2 or 3 patches.

Hmmm when are we going to see dalte's fixed video?
Isn't really a "fixed" video its a new video showing Combo Melee clearer and not all squeezed up on the tiny a$$ map heh. And its also to show how it really looks in its current state in full clarity. Since the other videos only gave a glance at it. It will also show "special" combo strings that are once again hidden on each character :D . If you find this special, it has a quick camera angle to show the enemy gettin WAH-PAPPED in the face, complete with blood and the likes. Its just for showing off on your enemy and showing him how his face looks when you WAH-PAP it hehe. Also shows linking up and how you can combo melee to simple melee to w.e else you wanna do. The knockback is much faster and further than 1.2. BUT...thats becuz your much faster than in 1.2. These maps are Massive in scale so the players now have the REAL speed to traverse across it and get to their knee to their opponents face as fast as possible. :D the reason why it looks like you cant reach is only due to you guys thinking in 1.2 Velocity hehee.

You will soon, I promise. You will also spot a particular clash in there as well :scared:

Just to clarify.

If Daltes video does get posted here, know that it is not game play. Its a video thats showing off various combo melee animations and the like. So its a showcase video. Just so that no one gets confused if they happen to stumble upon it ^^
