hmmm, i suppose i just got a real good imagination, there were times in the manga that send chills down my spine..... like when naruto thinks sasuke is dead, and releases the kyuubi (SP?) in the manga he looked ****ing viscious and furious, which it failed to convey in the anime imo. I think it really does depend on your imagination though, if you want everything to be done for you the animation is great, but if you read the manga.... its just spectacular, your mind takes over and its all cool, music isnt needed to bring out emmotion in the manga,

**Highlight to read**

----WARNING, MANGA SPOILER: look at when tsunade had them flashbacks about her brother, that was sad, and when naruto beat gaara you could feel a lot of empathy for gaara, and when naruto was getting wooped by kabuto, the tables turned and he used reasengan, it was awesome. END OF SPOILER------

I dunno, when i watch the anime, its just like any other anime ive seen, but the manga just kept the action and story coming, and it does convey emmotion. Heh, I am considerally baised anyway, because in my experience i've always prefered manga over and anime, but thats because TV programs dont involve the viewer enough, manga gets you involved and activates your imagination, if you dont like the manga because you havent got music and moving images, imo your not reading it right, in my head im constantly visualising, imaging people voices, picturing the scene etc.... You shouldnt be worrying about music and stuff, you should be imagining you are right there in the middle of all the action watching it all happen, and in a while you forget you are actually reading. I think im repeating myself, so i'll stop.........

BTW the pace of the anime is terrible, it was my friends that pointed it out, what happened to dbz happened to naruto, they stand around for hours saying a few words which you already knew they were going to say, its incredibly slow paced in that respect, but in the manga, you can make them gaps last how long you want, its not a problem then, and you can enjoy it to your taste

Edited spoiler to make it harder to read.

really in all actuality neither is better...its almost word for word the same...sure u could say that the anime has color and sound and 1 or 2 eps that arent in the manga...but for the vast majority of the mangas content the anime follows it word for word..both have their good points and neither have bad points (depending on what subed version u get =p)

1 thing always suck about Anime ( vs Manga's ) Anime always adds stuff that arent there in the manga's like side story's ( excample Bulma's Stuff on Namek so annoying )
and now i just watched 72

=-> Spoiler Warning
In Episode 72 Sasuke fights Temari while in the manga this never happends in the manga Sasuke almost fough the Puppit Guy but then Shino steps in and take over while Sasuke continues to follow Gaara and Temari , while in the anime it is Temari who stay and the Puppit guy who takes Gaara and flees
wonder how they will fix this thing . guess well just have to wait
End of Spoiler<-=

I haven't read every single post, but I agree with the poll.
I hate to say it, but in Naruto's case I like the anime more than the manga. For me it's mainly because it's easier to see how a fight goes when it's in anime (and it looks cooler! :p).
Also, since the anime is only subbed, not dubbed over and edited, you're not really missing anything. That's why I like the DBZ manga more than the DBZ anime, because of what FUNi did to it, and because I had already seen it in anime form by the time I started reading the manga.
