..there not spikes :p there called critz.. ull need 2 listen 2 them.. if u are a first time modler i would sugest using a diffrent style of modeling (pbp) or even a simpler prog (MS3D/Wings)..not a spike :S

modelling is more than pulling spikes out of a sphere/cylinder and adding meshsmooth...

thats like the only thing i can say, because i cant crit on this because you cant start a model out of this..

IMO you should really keep using 3dsm. I use it it is great...

3dsm is hard but once you get to master it i am sure you will make awsome models. I think those programs just limit your ability.

I am still a nOOb at 3dsm kinda.

yeah, i think its kinda stupid to switch from max to wings..

i can understand a switch from max to lightwave or maya.. but to wings? pretty stupid..

I wouldnt diss wings .... ;p

If you cant model at all, its alot easier to gain sum exp with wings rather then fumble around in 3dmax. Wings is alot simpler, and will give you a better understanding of modeling. I plan on moving to 3dmax when I feel i have a good understanding on modeling, a better one atleast. Because i got decent in Milkshape it took me very little time to get use to wings, and when i get god at wings, i bet it takes me very little time to get use to 3dsm.
