K so here's how i'm thinking the competition is going to work.
None of this is finalized, so don't take it as Exactly what it is going to be like, it's just my outline until the team approves it.
ESF Movie Competition Set Up *To be Finalized*
Requirements
- Each video must be Two to Five minutes long.
- Playable in Windows Media Player
- Screenshot of Video "Time-line" in editor for proof of creation
Categories Allowed
- Music Video
- Story Driven
- Fight
- Humour
- Informational (How-to Guides)
What do I need to include in the movie?
- ESF intro at the begginning of video (will be uploaded later)
In the credits?
- Actors names (real or online nicks)
- Directors name (ie. you silly buns)
- Programs used (ie. fraps, adobe premiere)
- ESF website address during end credits
Can I use custom models sprites?
- Yes, you can use any custom models, sounds, or sprites as long as you give proper credits to their creators.
But Kama!! WHAT CAN WE WIN?!?!
- You lucky dogs, here's how it is going to go down. When you win the competition, you will be given access to the Force Pit!!!
Anything more down the road?
- Here's the fun part though, we will be holding a few competitions, maybe 3 or 4. The Winners of those competitions will be added to a "pot". Near completion of 1.3, we will give those winners a package of recorded clips and scenes from 1.3. The winners will then have to create another short film using the clips provided.
- Whoever wins THAT competition will then receive an early copy of ESF 1.3 and make an official trailer for us to show on our website and for advertising purposes.
