well 3D artist : ] looking good, i got some tips for ya
While using a pic from the show in the bg try to marge the color tones together a bit, by pressing ctrl+m and draging the line a little dawn to make it a bit darker. And that last pose is looking kinda funny xD, but it seems that its wrking well overall, and check this pic for the idea how you can improve the cell shading :-D,

What Nataku showed is not my work and a explanation on how to improve the celshade by thiking the lines

The work I showed is way better then that coz is much closer to the show. I will try to find another place to upl the pics coz DBZ HOOD host is down until we move to another host.

stay 2nd

now there you go again, your texturing is NOT better than that, look at how the black lines are drawn on that budokai? model. they are drawn precisely where they need to be and very nicely done at that. half of yours look like you just rushed your way past it =/.

compare the sleeves for example, you just put straight lines across it, her sleeve folds ya know?, which would cause those lines to bend, and creases would need to be skinned on as well.

the only thing you did different, to make it "more like the show" is use more saturated colors.

You took the words right outta my mouth. Just because you got the colors like the anime doesn't automaticly make yours way better
The ps2 #18 looks a lot sexier than yours does, but hey they're the professionals.

Well I know you'll hate me more for this but I can't lie to you

I totally dislike this type of cel-shading so I’m trying to avoid it as much as possible. I make the skins to work good with the lights in-game not to look good in renders. I could easy spend a few minutes by splashing a few plain colors and drawing some thick lines then spend a few more playing with the light in max and make a crazy render. Plain colors works very good with the cell shade but that in-game will look totally ugly even with mapcubes or oscillators shaders coz of the ambient lights, sun lights etc.

On a easy understanding I like the style I’m using and not the tom&jerry style coz I think is much closer to the DBZ show and works better in-games.

Anyway I’m going to make a plain skin like this and see what I mean but I will never use it in-game.

Until then enjoy the pics:
